And Wild Thing!
‘…not…quite…that tight…’
Also the “Don’t cry for me, Marge and Tina” .
I’m laughing at the thought of it right now .
So many classic moments in that show.
Yes! I could not stand that episode.
His character had a couple of layers for sure. The show had an amazing run. Doing pretty much the same thing for 12 years says a lot about us as an audience. Timing is very important in life and The Goodies’ timing was perfect.
My favourite part was Tim as a little kid doing the Heinz meanz beanz ad and getting it wrong time and time again, and getting slapped by Graeme Garden each time.
My favourite was the episode where they were breeding Rolf Harrises in captivity until there was an escape and the country became overrun with little Rolfs.
The pointless slapstick of Ekky Thump very much appealed to me as a kid.
I think myself, my siblings and friends all got ekky thumped at one time or another.
Some more than others.
Good times.
My favorite was when the Goodies discovered the Yeti. Never laughed so hard as a kid. TBT will be sadly missed.
Best thing on tv when I was a kid. RIP TB-T
Noooooooo!!!
Couldn’t find any clips of Tim and this God Save Queen speeches but found this.
The Goodies were fantastic however many people did not understand the humour.
The days of The Kenny Everitt Show and The Goodies being on as 6 - 7 pm kid’s shows is a reminder of simpler less PC times. Fine examples of where (like The Simpsons) humour can work on a child and adult level at the same time.
Can you imagine shows with characters like Cupid Stunt and Sid Snot getting the green light for that slot these days?
Probably not. But I find many of the current FM morning and drivetime radio station shows far more crass, explicit and objectionable.
I used to cop it sooooo badly at school due to Captain Kremmen
The two I think of first with Tim in particular is his singing Don’t cry for me Marge & Tina while running for Prime Minister and I’m a teapot when they get concreted in.
Two Ronnies, Monty Python, the Goodies, and Fawlty Towers. Loved British comedy growing up.
Quick…what’s the closest thing to silver?
The Lone Ranger’s ■■■■?
Sad to see Tim’s passing, loved the show as a kid i must have watched every show at least 3 times.
I have to ask, why is The Goodies not available on any streaming service? Where can i find episodes, his passing has just made me want to watch episodes and i can’t find them anywhere
