As with all celebrities timing is everything. Waiting till you could have a crowd before leaving this realm is another sign of his genius
Donât know if Iâd need drugs if I was surrounded by the Minogues.
Beta blockers aside.
Viagra?
Iâm definitely a Dani man though.
My memories of B Newton are clouded by the misery of being forced to watch Ford Super Quiz as a kid.

Geez, first Rowdy and now Pete. Pretty tough couple of days for those of us involved with the SACA over the years
An unwanted Hattrick for Aussie cricket. 3 in 3 days.
I just heard, Kennedy, Don Lane & now Bert
He was the last of the truly big stars
He wasnât bigger than Kennedy or Lane, but IMHO he was funnier, much funnier. He had a rare gift, bucket loads of comic skill. His news doesnât sadden me, nor surprise, but his memory does bring a smile. He was rolled gold.
I liked Bert. I found his demeanor simply pleasant to listen to. When I lived here the first time I used to put him on in the morning when I woke up as there wasnât much to watch. I just liked listening to him talk.

Kennedy #1
Newton #5
Lane #732
Why have you got Lane so high?
As funny as a fart in a phonebox. I loved his interaction with James Randi, when JR called Doris Stokes a charlatan.
Don was great when he did the NFL show but I didnât rate him highly for his other work
The Don Lane verses James Randi (about Uri Geller) was amusing stuff.
BTW Don Lane was the reason I got into NFL.
He was the reason I hate the New York Giants.
