I have Mark’s gigs as my worst and best.
The last time I saw him was at the Croxton in 2018 or 2019 perhaps? The show was terrible. I had a chat to him up the back of the room where he was signing posters and you could just tell he didn’t want to be there. His hard life was etched in his face.
Heroin takes it’s toll and not many live longer that 60.
Loved Mark Lanegan’s stuff…Screaming Trees were my favourite band from the grunge era. I have a lot of his solo stuff as well.
Genuinely sad to hear of his passing.

I saw him at the Croxton before that (reckon 2013ish) and he was excellent. One of all my time favourite singer songwriters. RIP

I saw him at Ding Dongs in 2012. Almost best thing I’ve ever seen.
Then in 2019 at the Croxton he just wasn’t there. One of the worst gigs I’ve ever seen.
I remember I wanted to go to that show in 2019, but I had prior engagement. Sounds like I didn’t miss anything, unfortunately.
I haven’t listened to much of Screaming Trees, but I love his solo album Bubblegum.
