That’s no good. I really liked The Specials and still listen to their first two albums.
On a sort of related note, the day after Keith Richards turned 79, Charlie Watts’ widow and beloved lifelong companion Shirley has died.

I saw them at womad in 2017 with my three kids. Loved them for 30 years. Little ■■■■■ is my favourite song. Love the guitar at the start and then the machine gun burst of lyrics.

Beryl Kimber, who studied under the great musicians, became a world class violinist and nurtured Australian violinists.
Terry Hall was a fine singer, and he died too young - but the one I really miss is Rico. The Specials were never as good without him.
Martin Duffy of Primal Scream. A key member of the band in their 90s guise.

■■■■! I posted on an Aston Villa equivalent of Blitz of which Duffy, being a Brummie was a member of til about a decade ago. Sad, way too young.
Was in jangle band Felt as well.

People use the term gentle giant for a lot of players. But for me, there was only one.
