Champions League 2017/18

3rd in a two horse race.
A million miles behind Barca and some distance behind their cross town rivals. With the money they have spent and the squad they have they shouldn’t be out of the title race before Christmas. A CL win might be the only thing that saves Zidane from the DCM

Anytime Real is not contending for La Liga it is an “embarrassment”. So yes, by that metric, and by the way they dropped points early in the season they have been bad. But, their last month and half has been exquisite. They should have at least drawn against Espanyol but had one eye on tonight’s UCL game. Ronaldo has had his usual Post-January resurgence.

All that said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Florentino Perez (the President) and Zidane agree on a separation should they not win the CL. Zidane may actually stay on as a Director or something while he waits for his ultimate destiny as the France national team coach.

We shall see.

Anyhoo, how good is Asensio!?!

Crazy isn’t it? 2 CL wins in a row plus league titles still fresh and he could get the boot finishing 3rd. Compare that with the way the Gunners go about it…

I reckon he could be the best player in the league eventually. Substantial talent.

Can not wait to see him in the world cup.

Juve with 2 in a few minutes and now lead 2-1 and 4-3 on agg

Time running out for spurs

EAD Spurs

Dybala hadn’t scored for nearly a year and had taken the most shots thus season without scoring in the CL, something like 22 shots

Absolute madness! We got out of jail there mate.

Button beaten and cleared off the line

Kane was offside by 2 foot for that header would of smashed the TV into a thousand pieces had that counted.

Was no disrespect to Spurs but they just don’t have CL pedigree players. Juve players are battle hardened CL players who despite being outplayed for most of the game make the most of our chances. Spurs will get there in a few years time if the group stays together but it’s taken City years and despite all their resources they haven’t achieved anything.
Teams like Real,Barca, Bayern and Juve are tough it’s to crack at this level
