It would be hard to exclude anyone from this weeks side on the basis of form. The team that played the Saints had clear winners across the board. I thought Bird had a good game and dropping him would be a shame. It could be that they will take the opportunity to "Manage the workload" of others after successive 6 day breaks.
It seems to me that the team is pretty fixed now. There hasn't been a lot of change other than what has been forced on them. Stuart's inclusion seems to have seen the personnel for the forward line settled. The coaching panel also seems keen to continue with Myers. Given the way he has been taking his shots on goal this year I believe he is being encouraged to take the opportunity. If he could could increase his accuracy he will be keeping opposition midfielders very honest.
This week is a repeat of the Brisbane round. This is a game they SHOULD win. But they have to bring the intensity that have been bringing to games against top teams. To be honest, I don't believe they gave the Lions the proper respect and they paid the penalty for it. North will be out to hunt Essendon, not the other way around. I loved the forward 50 pressure they put on the Saints and hopefully they can repeat that. T Bell has been great over the last two weeks and the midfield has been the better for it.
In short they have to win at least 4 of the next 6 games to have ANY chance to make the finals.
