COVID-19 Round 12 - c'mon, it's just a little prick

@IceTemple they go a bit more into the new delta variant here (should be time stamped when the actual Dr’s talk)

Not a breakdown in contact tracing, contact tracers have difficulty in finding people who have been at venues, have not checked in and who are ignoring the order to test and isolate if you have been in a tier 1 exposure site.
As Kerry said, Orders and compliance do not always match

The disappointing thing is…
This wasn’t challenged at all by media.
This is such a failure on the business to keep high compliance in QR. Hopefully they weren’t a cash only business and they can trace back through bank transfers.

Except for SWSNBN who can travel overseas to do just that

I have, we have to have daily updates on it.

From regional Victoria

Effective 4:13 pm 15 June 2021

People entering South Australia who have been in regional Victoria in the 14 days prior to their arrival are subject to modified Level 3 requirements:

  • COVID-19 test on day 1
  • Must self-quarantine until negative test result
  • Must not enter a high risk setting for 14 days after arrival (unless Clause 9 applies: entering a health care service facility for medical treatment, or entering an aged care facility for an end-of-life visit.)
  • No entry to a COVID Management Plan event >1000 people

Note: Essential Travellers who are either Commercial Transport and Freight Service workers or Cross Border Community Members are exempt from the testing requirement if they can produce evidence of a COVID-19 test or a negative COVID-19 result within the previous 7 days. Essential travellers need not comply with the self-quarantine requirement while they continue to be an Essential Traveller, performing the duties, functions or activities of their essential traveller status.

Entry to SA Requirements - Victoria (PDF, 220.1 KB)

Cross Border Community Members

Cross border corridor means: the area 70 km either side of the border between South Australia and Victoria. Therefore, anyone in this corridor is considered a Cross Border Community Member.

People living in cross border communities are still able to enter South Australia, but if you have been in Greater Melbourne, you will be subject to Level 4 requirements:

  • COVID-19 test on day 1, 5, & 13. Unless you can produce evidence of a COVID-19 test or a negative COVID-19 result within the previous 7 days.

Lollypop?

Kinda, though when your entire family is scattered around the world and your kid is denied planned opportunities outside Australia it doesn’t feel so minor.

Yeah so that’s still a breakdown, your just talking about blame.

I’m saying that a travel bubble is not feasible given how easily it can be popped.

Whether that’s between states in Australia or NZ or Singapore etc.

Travel has to come with vaccination and a tolerance of risk and management.

And it needs to be insured. Most people probably will travel with no problem.

I got my first jab today too! Moderna.

Try light poles and fire hydrants then.

Journalist at NSW presser did query omission of Liverpool, given connection to Hoxton party. I couldn’t follow Kerry’s reply, but she is honest, does not make things up on the run.
I would be interested in how many Fed MPs are impacted by exposure sites and restrictions on movement outside the 7 LGAs ( although they could be essential workers, like Gladys who lives outside, but works within LGA(

25 thousand people can attend the footy…. Yet won’t allow 120 people into a pub to see live music.

They need to fix this. These pubs are on their knees… and will quickly start to drop like flies.

Um, I think NSW need to do some more testing with their mobile push system (caller ID - NSW number). I’m happily sitting here in Melb and I get a test message saying “test message only - stay safe and stay home and get tested “

Anything about Nigerian Prince

they are very different environments.

No, sadly. Just that boring message repeated.

Still waiting to find that one out.

Western Australia has closed its border with New South Wales in response to the growing COVID-19 outbreak in that state.

Depends how long ago. Only 1 from the UK in June and that was only a couple of days ago
