and he’s trying to address this recent chatter about those holding out now wanting to now have Novavax. Sure, I suspect Novavax will be an excellent vaccine (given the established tech it’s based on) but they’ve struggled getting FDA approval with their manufacturing issues. Not sure if the non-vaxxers are using wanting Novavax as an excuse to stay un-vaxxed, but to say it’s preferred over AZ or Pfizer/Moderna is not justified.

It will be good for something to go right. This outbreak has had lots go wrong and bullets that other states miss go straight into our head.
He was also saying there’s hesitancy in some states. 
Hasn’t updated my vaccination certificate date but shows up on my immunisation history statement.
As a data point we went out for dinner on Saturday with a friend of my wife who works for SA Health at one of the hubs and she said they get about a dozen people a day come in and ask for a third dose, she has to turn them away but then confessed that her and several staffers have had a third jab at a pharmacy

Model I’ve been using (EpiNow2 in R) estimates 2176 reported cases tomorrow (50% Credible Interval: 1881, 2540).
But it is reliant on trends, and the huge spike on Monday may have thrown it a bit off kilter.

And once novovax arrives in quantity, the same people holding out for it will have transferred to holding out for the next upcoming thing.
Seriously, anyone who’s still ‘holding out for X’ now is never going to be satisfied.

I feel like I’ve picked a horrible time to get a placement moved from rural Vic to Parkville haha (albeit RWH not RCH or RMH).

It’s a while back now, but physio programs at Sunshine ( outpatient) and RMH rehab ( inpatient) top notch - public health system gold standard.
According to the press release and press conference it is 15 October. I would hope they push it back a week to give people extra time to comply given they haven’t published the new orders yet.
