They’ll somehow blame it as coming from food processing/manufacturing. Seems to be the go to source for Covid over there
Yeah it’s a bit haphazard.
Should really be simplified to; need to wear them inside (except when seated and eating) OR not wear them at all.
yep
First time at an airport since Aug 20 last year.
Its more regimented and stricter now than it was during peak Covid…
Crazy but honestly warranted, It’s just noticeable because as everywhere else are discussing relaxing restrictions the airport or I’m assuming airports have definitely tightened them.
Edit: Adelaide airport for those interested - maybe interstate they were already this strict
Update on my airport situation:
Face masks are now mandatory apparently at airports… News to me, so I got ushered to a corner to get one before checking in. Thats fine, now comfortable at coopers bar writing smack on blitz.
Problem is I’ve now just snapped the cord, broken my mask drinking ■■■■ and typing ferociously on blitz, I asked the bar staff and they don’t have any behind the bar.
What a disaster
Question for Mic in Beijing. Do you think the winter Olympics in Beijing in early 2022 will proceed, seeing how risk adverse the Chinese are with COVID.
Every chance AFL club membership will drop in 2021 due to reduced capacity for crowds.
Assuming this is about masks, I agree with that assessment. Masks on inside, off outside. Nice and easy.
But the reason that’s not the case is that the mask whiners would complain about masks being worn in some circumstances where they may not be strictly necessary.
Masks are compulsory at all airports and on all all flights. They are very strict on them at Adelaide airport yet earlier in the week at the Qantas lounge I reckon only about 40-50% usage and that went for staff aswell
NatCab rule on masks at airports and flights mandated from 6pm today
Yeah I’ve noticed, was not ready for it at all.
Will definitely be letting travelling work colleagues aware and be ready for my business trip to Darwin next month as well.
I don’t follow reports, news or read papers so the only way I find out is when I’m confronted to be honest
Thats exactly what i am picking up on WeChat, 是独裁者丹斯的错
In Victoria, you are required to carry a mask when outside at all times
It has been strictly enforced at Adelaide for nearly 2 weeks now though even though not officially in action until tonight
I miss airports
I love them.
I’m all for learning the hard way…
My brother and not my best mate who I’m flying back to see was the one who only just told me that. Cab or Uber require them!! I would’ve thrown my mask out at Mel Airport lol
I did see today that Tasmania are no longer taking any of the planned repatriation flights after doing a deal with the Vic Government.
Tasmania will now take in 1500 low risk Pacific Islanders who will undergo HQ in Tasmania and then be flown to Victoria to start work. In return Victoria will take on the 330 high risk passengers that were due to be repatriated to Hobart. That is a real good deal by the Tasmanian government
It’s a good deal from both state governments. Low risk people for Tassie, a lot less people to manage for Vic.
Mr Xi thinks so http://www.ecns.cn/news/2021-01-19/detail-ihafurte1836858.shtml
It is just over 12 months away and unless there is a dramatic change in the Covid situation worldwide it will be difficult. I would think o/seas visitors would be very restricted and also the athlete movements would be extremely restricted. If Japan could be Covid Free and open before then athletes may be able to head there for training and lead-up events. The outdoor events are nearly 2 hrs drive from Beijing but the indoor events are in Downtown Beijing.
I was looking more from the economic positive to Tassie as they have been hit pretty hard and the hotels will be loving it. Victoria has the better provisions for high risk travellers aswell which is good for everyone
