COVID-19 - Stay The F**k Home, says Dictator Dan

NSW over 10,900 tests, 3 positives, no community transmission

They should start going to random worksites and testing people to get a real sample of what is happening.

For example Coles or a Construction site or something like that. Especially where they are young and may be freely passing it around their population without even knowing it.

So if they’re NSWuhan what name can we give to Melbourne? New Melbourne York?

the pubs aren’t open for a reason Professor Pete.

And anywhere in public you should social distance. So really an Ro of 2.5 doesn’t exist other than anywhere inside the Meat Packers hence the cluster ■■■■.

Along with being one of our most valuable companies.

See, Australia can do more than dig up stuff and have rich banks ripping off people.

Sure. I’m happy to share again as I think it is really important.
Morrison’s decision to go for suppression over elimination is pivotal.
I fear it is something we will profoundly regret.

If only people were actually socially distancing…

Yes, I’m sure he is well aware of that, but it’s still a valid point. A point about easily this thing spreads.

This cluster is not looking good. It’s very early days and already we see a hospital worker, and an aged care worker have it.

Are we locking this cluster down tassie did? Meaning not only all the workers are in quarantine, but there family’s and close contacts are too? If not we should be.

I think people have relaxed the stay at home rules but I think the social distancing message has really penetrated our psyche.

Have you experienced something different? I can’t think of anyplace or situation where people are congregating closer than 1.5 metres.

Line up at a deli. The demographic gives no space.

Thanks! Will have a read. :+1:

It’s not a valid point. He based his calculation on something that can’t and won’t happen. Do you know the Swiss Cheese Safety model for flying? It’s the same thing.

I agree with you about the lockdown but I’m not sure how it is implemented here in Victoria but I guess that is what the app is for and they have a contact tracing team.

This all could have been avoided if the first case reports on April 2nd that he had been at work.

example?

I went to get some bread at my local last week. The bakery had the lines marked clearly to allow the 1.5metres. People still were edging closer than that in line.

I kept trying to give them subtle looks to get back but they didn’t get the message. I should have really just told them to move away I suppose!

On Tuesday I whitnessed ~20 public health employees sitting within a foot of each other in a big germ sharing circle while they had lunch together. I’ve stepped out of maybe 10 lifts in the last week because people refuse to adhere to social distancing and wait for the next lift with fewer occupants. I see groups of tradies shaking hands at the train station every single day. My best mates wife has invited my wife over for a cuppa about 6 times in the last month. I could go on. Some people, tacitly or otherwise, just don’t ■■■■■■■ get it. Others who did get it for a while, are bored or don’t care anymore.

yeah I’ve noticed that. That kind of activity isn’t even picked up by the app.
