Apparently 2 of the 3 positive cases in NSW today are from Newmarch house.
Can see why they need to be so vigilant when clusters are identified.

I was at coles following the social distancing markings (gave it an extra 0.5m to keep the aisle clear) waiting in line for a checkout. A lady of asian appearance pushed into the line in front of me in my social distancing vacuum.
She proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t in the line because I was ‘too far back’.
Great article, I would have liked to see us go down the total elimination path. And think it would be better both economically and obviously health wise.
But we haven’t so the next best thing we can hope for is a relaxing of restrictions in certain states. Along with the ramped up testing we have now. Once said state has had no comunity transmission for 2 weeks, they can slowly ease restrictions, starting with only things that help the economy. I’m not sure on the exact stats but I know at least the NT have achieved this.
No gatherings of ten people at houses, no comnunity contact sport etc. Only things that help the economy, along with strict social distancing of cource.
I don’t get out enough to see any of that. Home, Coles and my own office once a week.
I think we need to call that stuff out and I think employers need to be really vigilant with he rules and implementing them.
Oh and where are you going that you need to be in a lift 10 times in a week?
Need to self isolate pending the results of a test
the NT had 28 cases that were all imported. It’s easy to contain.
Completely different here in Victoria.
they have 8 hour tests now. They should random test.
Well you know how certain people here were banging on about Scomo and Friedy’s “download the app so we can all go to the pub”, how they didn’t mean it but it’s a good enticement for the future? Same principle but in reverse. He’s making a point and taking the ■■■■ out of that stupid campaign
Movement around my 13 floor building. I’m in and out of lifts at least 6 times a day.
Many examples, e.g. -
Group of 10 or so people + prams congregating outside cafe - hugs & kisses all 'round.
Basketballers sweating on each other at the local park.
Construction workers patting each other on the back.
Complacency has set in.
People have got the message that we have this thing under control and can start to relax.
It’s worth remembering that only 2 months ago the US had 15 known cases.
Now it’s 1.2 million with 75k dead and only going to worsen.
This thing is a beast, not easily tamed.
It’s this reason that makes further restrictions pretty much impossible IMO. The public just won’t adhere to it enough for it to work IMO.
According to Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, 21 new cases in Aus, including 3 in NSW and 0 in Tas.
2 announced for Qld.
Based on previous days, that means around 16 for Vic …

Then the public are fools.
But it doesn’t help that our Prime Minister says things like ‘we have earned an early mark’ - the messaging is all wrong.
Bear in mind, Spain, France & Italy have had a real lockdown for much longer - Spain has just allowed people to leave their homes for exercise.
You’re likely right with that.
These results are just a bit disheartening. Especially when you see all the other States getting fantastic results.
Early Mark was unfathomably idiotic language. Joe Daniher running out with a prolapsed groin idiotic. Pure market driven politics

Yes, the public are fools. And it’s that lowest common denominator that has to be catered to in policy making.

They were all from the same household…
Yearn for the Victoria of last week. The good ol’ days.

If the Federal Gov were to move it back to stage 2, can our State Gov just insist on keeping at Stage 3?
