Cricket Part III

Of the top 10 chases in ODI history that is the only time Australia has won, while we have lost 6 of the top 10.

Stoinis to come back in also. I like what Turner brings in the middle order it’s like having two Maxwells which allows us to use the OG one a bit more creatively. It might come down to Finch vs Khawaja to partner Warner and Handscomb vs Carey for the gloves. All the batsman have given the selectors reason to pick them which will make it difficult

Langer should tweet that Maxwell reverse sweep lbw

It’s been a very good tour and will give them a lot of confidence. They won the T20 series, and now win a couple of tough ODI games to level the series. With a number of players showing they can get a big score. Though some are hot and cold. And they did this in India. They can definitely be in the mix if it clicks give themselves a very good chance for the World Cup.

Ashton Turner has had a couple of decent T20 seasons, very clean hitter. Need to find someone in that spot so we can push Maxwell further up the order without losing the late order hitting

Well…this is awkward

Yeah he did comment that Turner showed he made the wrong call.

Windies struggling against England with this T20 stuff. Step up from their 45 the previous match.

On the other hand, imagine losing a test series to a side that can’t bat out 20 overs

Certainly aged well didn’t it! Turner turned it on last night. Was an amazing innings.

Great by turner. He was also dropped 2-3 times

Dropped twice when the game was effectively over. The missed stumping not long after he came to the crease was the big one.

Fair to say the locals weren’t big fans of Pant’s keeping. Every time he made a mistake (and there were a couple) they started chanting “Dhoni, Dhoni, Dhoni…”

It might only be NZ v Bangladesh, but the Kiwis have batted superbly on an extremely green deck at the Basin Reserve in Wellington to set up a most unlikely push for victory in a heavily rain affected match. The first 2 days of play were abandoned, Bangladesh scored 211 batting first and so far NZ, after being 2/35 overnight, are 3/285 off just 59 overs. Ross Taylor not out 141, Williamson 74 and Henry Nichols 50*. Still 4 sessions left in the game, they will need to continue to score quickly then perhaps declare late today and try and roll through the Bangas tomorrow…

Wow we nailed that chase? 359 with two overs to spare?

Yep and made it look easy in the end.

Indians would be haunted by the score of 359

Pitch doing a bit at the Gabba.
17 wickets in a day.
Queensland rolled for 115
SA rolled for 71
Queensland 2/17 second dig

QLD 5/45, might be a 2 day SS game

Wait, Pant made some crucial errors? I refuse to believe it. I was told all summer he was far superior to Paine with the gloves.

Partially tongue in cheek of course. But he’s not a great keeper and it’s interesting to see him have a bad outing on Dhoni’s turf.
