Price drops everywhere for electrics. The Seal in particular is very cheap.
It seems the Chinese have found another Lithium deposit, which will bring the price of batteries down significantly. They already have been dropping in price every year.
And when they invade and take over australia theyll go down even more
zeekr 7x looks like a pretty interesting tesla y competitor to me.
some incredible cars going to hit is from china this year.
this one screams luxury . even has self adjusting susspension lowering optional 13 inch screen and table for kids in the back . very lux looking car and interior with amazing battery specs.
The downside of this rapid influx of multiple brands might be the ability to get the car serviced or repaired in a reasonable timeframe if something goes wrong. And whilst some companies will be around for the long haul, others might disappear.
Noā¦Greenland.
I thought EVs needed minimal servicing???
Correct. But things go wrong.
Whoās going to set up a service network if thereās minimal sales (compared to other cars) and the servicing is infrequent.
But what happens when you get rear ended, and thereās no spare parts, and Boone thatās had much experience fitting them.
Thereās a recall on the internal computer and you gotta take it into the dealership for software upgrade. (I have 2 recalls on my 2 year old EV)
Maybe thereās a niche market for servicing all these random EV through a chain?
Mrs Fox making the decision to buy Tesla
The legacy brands of EV, of course maintain both ICE and BEV in their long-standing outlets.
Just looking at a cybertruck, it looks like a tank. Definitely not practical.
The model 3 and Y look good.
Are you looking at it live ?
They seem huge, are they ?
For perspective the ute tray secetion is the same size as most single cab utes but it is of course a dual cab. Itās about a metre longer than my Skoda Superb which is a fairly large car. Itās not up there with the Dodge RAM but itās close.
I think I read somewhere that BYD are the only guys that, without subsidies, actually make any money on a per-car basis. And itās pretty slim.
Yep its on display in a mall in Singapore.
I canāt see it being useful to drive, itās huge. Like a mini tank.
These arenāt legal on Aus roads due to not meeting requirements for pedestrian impact protection are they?
Not sure. This is in Singapore. Not legal here either but on display.
Correct.
I think it goes beyond pedestrians too, other vehicles are at risk.
Normal teslas like 3s and Ys are good cars. Not sure if they are 300k km ride into the dirt good cars but nice to be in.
Iād buy one if I was going electric.
The cyber truck is Elon musks midlife crisis and I find it hilarious
Thank god they canāt/dont import them here.
