We are playing Juventus at the official opening this Sunday. Should be a good warm up for our first game against Chelsea next month.
Also we have drawn Romanian champions Astra Giurgiu for the play-off round clash. The play-off round tie will be played on August 18 and 25.

In an eminently better position to cover for Studge now with Origi really looking the part. Ings is a handy squad/bench option, and you can play Mane and Firmino in the “False 9” when required. Probably would like one other centre forward, you can’t have enough goals in the team.

I thought Robbie came back in poor shape. He has rubber cheeks at the best of times but he looked to have over-indulged in the break. Starting to get a bit sharper which is good to see. Klopp has sent a lot of guys out on loan, mainly the youngsters knowing that with no Europe we won’t have the games to go around to give kids a run out in the League/FA Cups. We only have one left-back on the books now with Smith being sold and Flanno (is a natural RB but can play on the left too) heading to Burnley on loan. Moreno is a heart in mouth player as is, but if Milner is the alternative at LB we can’t afford injuries across the back 4. Hoping he signs someone as cover, or even better someone who is genuine competiton to Albie for a starting XI spot.
