The consistent lack of kicking to a leading forward on the half forward line and going inside 50 is ASTOUNDING.

Missed tackles killed us tonight. We can’t break tackles either.
Surely the coaches didn’t want them bombing it in, so must have been pressure and/or stupidity by the players.
You’d think they would be embarrassed by that performance.

Worsfold won’t survive this and he shouldn’t. Gameplan invites pressure and is complete opposite of how finals are played. No point blaming blokes like Hurley and hooker, entries were lace out with no pressure and they both shouldn’t have even been playing.

Too many of the senior players are cooked. Just add pressure and they fold

Eagles - way too good. Our skills, tackling and intensity were nowhere near finals level. Regroup, get healthy, draft/trade well, and bring on 2020.

Supporters get upset about the media saying “Essendon are just making up the numbers”.
But that’s exactly what we are doing… each time we’ve scraped into 8th position in the last 15 years, we’ve made up the numbers.
Our average losing margin in finals is 55 points, since 2004.

That was very very very disappointing.
Even when we were not under the pump our disposal was very poor.
Our decision making was dreadfully poor.
And delivery to forward 50 is 0/10. Cannot understand how they cannot have a better system worked out. The long bomb to space or space with a West Coast player(s) was maddening.
A handful of players actually put in: McGrath, Saad, Francis. I think that’s it for being good and trying. Snelling honorable mention.
Not going to throw out the good bits with the bathwater, because there are good bits there. But I hope the club understand what the key issues are and what needs to be done to fix them Need to honest and not hesitate in doing what needs to be done.
