Everyone else's trash. Our treasure?

I remember there were a fair few on here who were keen on him for our 2nd pick in 2016. He is certainly a good shout for a rookie pick

He’s been a SuperCoach tease for years as a preseason specialist who then shows fark all in season.

Would never have had him as a big bodied inside mid, the opposite… lighter framed winger/HBF’r.

Runs all day. But seemingly can’t get near the footy in the season proper probably as doesn’t win his own ball.

Yep that was my impression too

@Humble_Minion What are your thoughts on Mitch Grigg?

I can give you my thoughts on him, but they’re based on him as a u18 and so are quite a few years out of date. Someone who saw a bit of him at Adelaide or in the SANFL (@Aceman?) might be able to give you better info.

I’m too biased as I see him every week but he definitely should be on an AFL list.

Sat in front of Jacob Townsend on a flight back from Sydney on Friday - might of either been visiting a friend in Sydney or visited GWS or Sydney…

Report was he meet with Sydney… Article on the AFL website

He’s got an absolute bullet left foot. Also looks about 3-4kg’s overweight so would only improve further in a professional environment. Get him in! I don’t see the downside on a 2 year minimum wage contract.

Lovell delisted by Hawthorn. Just more evidence that as much as some might criticise certain selections in the 2015 draft (cough, Morgan, cough) that there were earlier picks who haven’t done anything more.

Gold Coast just thrown Jarryd Lyons in the garbage! 3rd in the AFL for clearances… surely we have a look at him?

Not sure, I wanted him a few years back when he was leaving the Crows but from reports the reason he was dropped is because he can’t stick to structures and goes ball chasing too often. If this is true we might not be interested.

But having said that he’d be depth at the very least.

Seems a mind boggling decision for a club whose devoid of many half decent players

Coach did seem to have his issues with Lyon across the year however, hard to see what that was.

He is 27 next year and would seem an age perfect to allow for their kids to come through

Apparently will go to brissy as a delisted free agent.

Had heard the same re his unwillingness to stick to team structure and game plan though.

He’s not just depth but expendable depth.

Sure Hepp, Zach and Sheil our our gun mids, but you don’t want them playing huge minutes on the inside for 22 weeks and be busted up.

Parish, MCG and Langford are the future to provide rotations.

But a year or two of Myers and Lyon to sacrifice their bodies, take the hits is essential to having a team fresh for finals.
