Favorite Places To Eat

What is the go with Madame Brussels?

I went there last Saturday, and it was fully of trendy young ladies who were drunk on Sangria at exorbitant prices.

Is it the Hens Night starting spot ? Coz if it is I reckon there would have been some very shabby brides to be on Sunday.

Paris Go on Rathdowne st, winner!

Paris Go on Rathdowne st, winner!

Our favorite place in all of Melbourne. Been going there for years and years, great food, great service and good fun.

Love their sister restaurant France Soir on Toorak Road for lunch as well, except last time I went SWSNBN was there !! The souffle refused to rise and the cream went sour, wine went off, so I just drank more Peroni and glared at her.

Eww, I'm not surprised, but why'd you even try that with her?

Or is this not actually euphemistic.

Maria Trattoria on Peel Street North Melbourne - not opened all the time, but sensational food. Plenty on the plate. Very homely fresh cooking

Maha is fantastic. 6 course (plus pre dessert, welcome appetiser) degustation was so good.

Off to Gingerboy in a month, anyone been? Any recommendations

Twice.

It’s all good. Get the banquet. I think that let you choose some of the dishes. Get the eggs too.

Need to remember this for Saturday night.

Also going to red spice temple (I think it’s called that). Missus went there for dinner on her hens night and they all loved it, so going now with my family.

Red spice road? Modern Asian, off Lt Collins? Awesome place.

I think there’s a Spice Temple as well.

That’s it.

Yeah is Spice temple at the casino? Been to that one (if it is) and also Silk (or silks) at the Cas, loved both of them.

I think so. Haven’t been there, generally don’t like the casino, funny how a place that costs so much can make you feel so utterly classless and bogan at the same time. Did enjoy Rockpool though.

RSR is frigging amazing. had the soft shell crab burgers, amazing. Curry I had, amazing. Everything is amazing.

I’ve only ever been to the cas to go to the restaurants, but hardly go there now as to keep the free parking you need to spend 5 times the amount you used to at the restaurants, so ■■■■ them.

Looking forward to RSR on Sunday now, will definitely try the burgers

Crown sucks balls. The conservatory end is ok, as is baci, but fk me it’s such a scummy joint.

You won’t be disappointed with Gingerboy.

Awesome!had the chicken wings and wagyu dumplings. Missus had vegetarian spring rolls and mushroom and bean shoot in lettuce. Then she got half serve if vegetarian dish and I got chicken as a shared dish. ■■■■■■ good food and well priced.

Just converted a few recent minor tatts wins into a dinner at Terminus, the foodie restaurant in the Flinders Pub. The food was consistently good but according to my better half, who is an authority on these things, the dessert was “absolutely spectacular.” I’m generally not that big on sweets but even I thought it was pretty special. It’s a Turkish Delight Souffle with fig and pistachio baklava and halva ice cream. I think it’s considered their signature sweet so I took a pic. It was pinker than the crap photo suggests.

P.S. For a place that takes itself seriously it has the ugliest carpet I’ve ever seen, put it this way if you throw up they won’t really notice until it starts to pong.

Lowenbrau Keller, The Rocks in Sydney.
Always a must when we get to Sydney.
Nice big juicy pork knuckle gulped down with a couple of litres of one of their beers.
Good music and fantastic atmosphere, always packed

Anyone been to Tonka or Gingerboy?

Those clear plastic seats at Gingerboy look uncomfortable

“Only” pub meals?? Lot’s of pubs are better than restaurants these days … & just as expensive.

Just spent a week in Melbourne and was staying near Southbank. Had cracking meals at Breslin Bar, Hophaus and Ludlow. Caught up with a mate one night down in St Kilda and went to The Fifth Province Pub, only pub meals but they were amazing
