FINAL TEAM VS PORT (For those who are too lazy to look in the other thread)

interesting thought.

what happens if hooker does go back, and we get a win ?
seeing some of us were saying he should be playing back before the season started, does that mean us lot who said that, are smarter and more insightful than the coaches ?

or will the usual mindless drones just congratulate the coaches on their stunning moves that no one could have possible foreseen …

There are some** that say all those that follow footy are mindless drones.
They are also entitled to their opinions.

** bigots

At the Sunny Coast airport about to head down for the weekend. After last Sunday’s debacle I don’t care who’s playing as long as they give it their all & leave nothing in the tank. (And win!!!)

Worsfold is a big fan of the post ‘no changes for mine’. What the hell.

I wanted him forward because pre season Gleeson was killing it in the intercept role.
I think everyone knows Hooksy is a 8/10 forward 10/10 back but with Gleeson missing we now have no back men who can counter with the intercept. I love Hurls but marking isn’t the strongest part of his game these days.
I’ve backed Woosha in and was happy with the extension but I hope stubbornness isn’t going to be his downfall.

So what are you saying, if circumstances change then changes should be made? Crazy idea!

Further - I have zero doubts Hooker must be back, but the main reason is age and where we are at. The club will never admit it but they went into this year thinking a flag was a possibility int he next year or 2 - dreaming!

Fact is - Hooker turns 30 this year, um why are we persisting with him forward now? He has had major issues with his body to the extent he cant run in a natural motion now. He isnt going to be a star post 31-32 years of age etc.

Why not let the young and (seemingly) talented forward group of Joe, Stewart, Stringer and Raz build around themselves for our realistic next tilt?

Hooker covers deficiencies down back, limits us playing VFL players in Brown and Hartley, and we have a season or 2 to find the medium term replacement.

As they say, the worst position you can be in is not knowing where you are at. Im petrified we are exactly there.

I must have missed something…

Here’s an interesting thought. What if Hooker goes back and we still get pantsed the next few and kick even less goals than we have been? Will you still be carrying on like you know better than everyone else?

I want Hooker to go back, but I’m actually tempted to cheer for this outcome, just to shut that moron up.

here’s my dilemma,

I have to be at our Permanent Market in Akoona Park until 1.30PM tomorrow.

I was going to leave early to get to the game on time. But now I’m not so sure I should bother after last week’s performance.

what should I do? Go to the game - or do the market and get to the football late?

I’d go, … (and am) late or o/wise, … coz I reckon we;re a good chance to win …

It’s hard to fight after his last quarter last round.

Go early Stratts, otherwise you’ll probably not go at all if we’re down by 2-3 goals early on, and subsequently miss a famous victory.

{is that too familiar…calling you Stratts ?}

Salami cool your jets.

Salami >>> Nuggets

You keep telling yourself that. But how many people cared about the night crash vs how many people cared about the difference between the ■■■■ at Woolies and legit stuff?

As much as I think that there definitely should’ve been more changes (Myers wtf), I kind of rate the whole ‘I’m backing all of you in’ call from the coaches. Let’s see who responds.
