Former #30 Patrick Ryder - we dodged the bullet

Would need to free up number 30. Then make sure we keep Smack and ZLarke, give him jumper 61, and play him back pocket in the reserves and play literally every ither player ahead of him.
He can (still) get ■■■■■■.

Unless Port give us their first round pick he can ■■■■ off.

Yes, I said it right. He can ■■■■ off and ■■■■ off some more. ■■■■ the ■■■■

I would rather go winless than have that ■■■■ play in the red and black again.

I would rather Worsfold have a 30-year contract than that ■■■■ play for us again.

■■■■ IT

I would rather Zac Clarke in the ruck and captain of the ■■■■■■■ team than have that Judas ■■■■ in the red and black again.

Lol. Sook.

Ryder would absolutely kill it in the NTFL over the summer, I’d chuck him a lifeline - only if he grovels and agrees to play for the Tiwi bombers over the preseason and delivers them a flag.

I just love, how in that article, the assumption that it’s a fait accompli that Draper is going to the Saints. Clearly that’s contrary to what Sammy himself said last night. #MoreMayoJon

Well, they’ve offered him good money, ergo he’s going.

Well said, you are not alone.

I’ve got my email to Xavier Campbell ready. I know that the club couldn’t care less whether I stay committed or not, but the dog coming to the club means the difference of me retaining some level of membership or none at all.

My membership won’t make any difference in the scheme of things I know that but at least I can live with myself.

What he did was nothing less than a massive :dog2: act to the club.

Farck him.

Never forgive, never forget !

Yep bring hin back, play him CHB and push Hooker forward. So a spare who can pitch hit in the ruck and add flexibility to our ruck ranks

If we get that Judas kent back I’d rock up in round 1 just to boo him.
Would rather Skipworth coach the club than Fark Ryder ever playing for us again

Never ever ever ever, I wont be signing up again, and I would be surprised if the players would have him back.

Port to give us picks 17 and 37 and pay Ryder’s salary; then I might accept the deal.

This is a copy of the email I sent to EFC membership and efclistens today.
I hope a few of you who share my thoughts also can send a quick note.

We cannot let this happen.

“ Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is …

As your records confirm, my family and I have been life long supporters and members of the EFC.

That said, my love of the game has waned as I continue to relive the sad and wasted 5 years of my football life that the drugs scandal/saga imposed on us all.

I don’t for a second disregard the fact that it still affects many others, but sadly my love for the game will never return as it once was.

It is with much disappointment that I have read and heard recently that the EFC is considering to approach Patrick Ryder and have him return to the EFC in 2020. This has compelled me to write to you and pass on my concerns and thoughts on how this would affect me and I suspect many other fellow EFC members and supporters.

Personally speaking of course, I still cannot get over the anger I felt when he chose to leave the club on the eve of our elimination final clash.

He and his manager chose to inflame the saga by casting spurious remarks about the affects that the (“alleged” ) drugs would have on his unborn child etc. He used this as a means to walk out on his contract.

The fact that I still cannot forget the shameful period of the saga, by having Ryder return to the club which he walked out on, would be the final straw for me. Unfortunately my anger would be even more heightened each day seeing Ryder back in an EFC jumper.

His return would also delay and further hinder the development of Sam Draper which unfortunately was affected this year by the recruitment of Zac Clarke. Draper will recover from his ACL injury next year and be prime for a full time role in 2021. He is a future star, and I have taken a personal interest in seeing how quickly he has developed since we drafted him. As they sometimes say “we’ve plucked a nugget here”.

I have also been impressed with young Bowman in the VFL as a potential future back up ruckman. Barring our current injury concerns with JD, TBC and Draper our ruck stocks are not as serious in the future as made out in the media. We have sufficient coverage till Draper returns with TBC, McKernan, JD, and Clarke in 2020.

Now, to the purpose of my email. I know full well that my EFC Membership in the scheme of things doesn’t really affect the club. But should Ryder return to the club, then I will immediately cancel both memberships as this action alone will finally kill my love of the game and EFC.

My passion remains at a low ebb as it is, but his return would be the final straw.

I hope my email is passed onto the appropriate people within the football department. I do not share these thoughts alone, there are many thousands of still affected EFC members and supporters out there.

A quick glance at any of the many EFC forums, will confirm my views of how people see Patrick Ryder with regards to how he left the club.

I truly hope EFC listens but if not I know I can sleep comfortable in the knowledge that my hard earned money will not go towards a person who for selfish reasons used an AFL imposed and self created crisis to meet his own personal gains.”

Regards,

I think we are jumping at shadows a bit here. All that has happened is a flog with a ■■■■ set of eyebrows saying we should go for Ryder.

That being said, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I hope so, but sometimes where there’s smoke there’s fire. Anyway, my conscience is clear. And if anyone ever tells me I’m not a real supporter well they CGAGF. I’ve given the club plenty, much more then any sane person would.
But there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough.

If he comes to the club (unlikely) I would boo him.
