Former #42 Massimo D'Ambrosio

Look honestly he’s an upgrade on Shiel but Brayshaw is twice the player and a leader. If we end up with Dunkley I’m sure he will be solid but if it is a choice I know who I would want.

You also don’t want another Nick O’Brien type on your list. If you don’t rate the tall mid option internally in the draft… then don’t select him and look towards the end of year. Find talent you think could be best 22 and fill other needs later. Keep rotating Perkins through midfield also for remainder of the year

By no measure is this accurate, they are also playing completely different roles.

D’Ambrossio I hope he does well…It’s not about him it’s just another HBF, I’m just ■■■■■■ that we keep doing the same thing on the field, picking the same players off…I’m tired, tired of supporting a losing team that I’m so passionate about I can’t not support……good luck D’Ambrossio i want you to succeed

collingwood selected another mid, at least we didnt select another tall.
small defender and forward are list needs so reasonable pickups.

If Culley was there think we would have got him. but we got the best of the rest.

I notice people have been putting a lot of mayo on Brayshaw’s ability, lately.

Is he a great player?? Yes.

Is he light years ahead of Dunkley, as a BBM?? No.

Brayshaw finished third in a Brownlow playing as a pure mid. He moved to a wing for team balance because Olliver, Viney and Pertracca are inside bulls and he had the ability to play both. He then went to HBF this year when Salem got injured, again for team balance……great leaders sacrifice and that is what he has done for team success…….exactly what we need, a mid that can win his own ball and knows how to sacrifice for the team……on top of that Dunkley isn’t playing inside mid all that much either, often playing as midsized forward…not a position we would use him in.

NAB League stats. The Jets are 11th of 18 presently, so the ball probably leaves their backline occasionally.

5th for disposals

3rd for kicks

4th for rebound fifties

You only need to look at our VFL side to see how deep our midfield is.

We don’t have any…… and our AFL midfield is one dimensional.

I’m not saying that we needed to address midfield at the MSD…… but anyone who thinks our midfield group is close to elite are clueless.

From what little I’ve seen I would have been happy if we’d selected him

I also like the fact that he come from country football to SANFL so potential upside is untapped, he has developed quickly this year.

Wears a stud earing!

Dosen’t look like a pretty boy

None of which supports your point that Brayshaw is twice the player Dunkley is. In fact based on your suggestion, it is fair to compare them based on output as inside mids that are playing different roles for team needs, which statistically favours Dunkley quite significantly.

But either way, this is something for a different thread, rather than this one.

He’s who I was wanting, but to be disappointed by picking D’Ambrosio is silly.

Finally some more wogs in the team.

(I always forget Guelfi is a wog).

Was really excited until I read this post. I worry we have too many “good” human beings on our list.

Agree, let’s hope he plays as good as his name sounds. :slightly_smiling_face:

Tin rattling shinboners opinions are wooden spoon like.

I don’t know enough about either to have formed a judgement or have strong feelings either way but looking at the 2 clips I would have preferred Carmichael. Not that is any where near enough to go on
