Former AFL swingman Jake Carlisle has parted ways as co-coach of a local footy club after just one game as vision emerged of him appearing to strike one of his teammates.
The ex-Essendon and St Kilda player has departed Murray league club Moama despite signing on as a co-coach last October for the 2026 season.
He has since been cleared to return to his former club of Wallan.
Moama president Scott Slater confirmed that Carlisle had left the club.
“Official line is that he has moved back to Melbourne hence why he has been cleared. Nothing more to add sorry,” Slater said.
The move comes after footage emerged online of Carlisle appearing to strike a Magpies teammate during the Good Friday clash with local rivals Echuca United.
Sources close to the Moama Football Club told this masthead that it was not the first disagreement Carlisle had”

I dunno, things looked to be going well for Jake until we rooted him and others with the drugs saga. We ruined his football career and he never seemed happy after 2013.

He was pretty happy taking 19 marks and kicking 4 against the Pies and then even happier by backing it up with 7 goals vs the dogs the week after in July 2014.
