I live in the local area - buses and hire vehicle hire cars are allowed to use the emergency lanes on this stretch of the Eastern Freeway. This typically happens in peak hours only.
It is unfathomable how the truck driver plowed into the police if they are in the emergency lane. He may well have decided to use it - like buses & VHAs - except traffic was relatively light e.g. light enough for a porsche to be clocked doing 140 km/h.
Either the truck driver had a heart attack/feinted, or had to suddenly swerve/found himself in the emergency lane and couldn’t stop in time or; sadly, did it deliberately.
The porsche driver is clearly the lowest of low scumbags but the focus has to be on why the truck driver did what he did. Police semi-regularly pull cars over on the Eastern and this type of tragedy nevers happens, until now.
Stick him with a few gangsters and murders. See how tough he really is.
There goes “he was in shock” excuse. The farker was in control of himself and just couldn’t give a ■■■■…other than for his dinner and car. fmd.

Put him in a jail cell with an inmate who will give him hell. Absolute hell.
After this carnt gets slapped on the wrist with a wet bus ticket by our feeble judicial system, we can at least be assured the cops will mercilessly persecute the prick for the rest of his days. At least it’s something…

Body-worn camera footage captured Ms Taylor calling out for help at 5.42pm but no one went to her aid.
As multiple passersby got out of their cars to help, Mr Pusey then allegedly removed two iPhones from his car and took two videos.
He then allegedly walked around the scene using his phone to record, before walking right up to Ms Taylor as she was pinned to the truck.
In the body-cam footage she can be heard groaning, before Mr Pusey allegedly says: “There you go, amazing, absolutely amazing. All I wanted to do was go home and have some sushi and now you f—ed my f------ car.”
Deserves a life sentence imho.
