As much as this turd deserves everything he gets, and more, the last thing any society needs is a police force that behaves like that.

Problem for him (not for us) is he has plenty of form showing that this is not aberration based on taking drugs.

■■■■ having to watch that.

Apparently he went into a Chemist Warehouse in Collingwood and showed customers in the store the footage he filmed…

hope he gets plenty of love in prison, the rough kind

In court, police allege Porsche driver Richard Pusey filmed Leading Snr Const Lynette Taylor as she was pinned between his car and the truck groaning. Instead of helping he said “all I wanted to do was go home and eat my sushi and now you have fed my fing car.”

In a summary read in court, homicide detectives alleged Mr Pusey ran back to his Porsche, got his iPhone out, and did a lap of the scene filming as Constable Taylor pleaded for help while dying.

Mr Pusey then called his wife in the car and visited his Smith Street doctor. The accused also called an Australian Federal Police (AFP) officer known to him. He allegedly sent the officer the videos and photos that he captured at the scene, before going to sleep.

Mr Pusey’s wife also attended court today.

Mr Pusey did not apply for bail when he appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with offences including dangerous driving, reckless conduct endangering life, failing to render assistance, drug possession and the destruction of evidence.

Just WOW!
What an absolute kent, I hope the police Fark him up majorly

I really shouldn’t read these reports. It drains ones humanity. I’d have no problem dispatching this piece of excrement right now.

My bet is - truck driver was cruising along, not really paying attention, when everyone in front of him slows down to 40 because of the police car. He’s not paying attention for the critical second, and can’t stop the truck in time so veers out into the emergency lane at 100 to avoid colliding with the car in front. Ive seen similar happen (though not with a truck) on that exact stretch of the Eastern

What I don’t get is that being in truck he’d have an elevated view of what’s happening ahead and should have seen the police cars in the emergency lane.

I guess this will all come out in the coroner’s inquest and other reports.

Yeah that all makes sense. Driving is a dangerous activity though. All you have to do is lose concentration for just a second - the critical second - and it can all go to hell

Very similar to what’s happened with roadworkers/traffic controllers in a couple of tragic cases last few years.

I really like that concept mentioned above about not only drivers slowing down but also putting their hazards on. Makes a lot of sense - gives the visual warning to drivers behind, before they would be able to see that cars had started slowing. Particularly if a heap of cars are doing it.

Singaporean drivers are generally pretty average (treat roads like a ski slope and you will be fine) but they are great at doing this and it works really well.

The part about calling an AFP member is interesting.

I think on one of the videos he said the cops had got their karma for pulling him over. Absolute fuckknuckle

Texting someone probably. I’m sure his phone records will be being examined as we speak.

The truck driver belongs to a cohort of road users originating from a geographic region who typically show very little ability to drive.
