I still remember Hirdy in episode 1 of the Hangar saying if there’s one positive of his one year ban, it’s that he has a head start regarding drafting and trading.
No doubt in my mind that he’ll be talking to a tall fwd or gun mid from another team already.

I would trade Carlisle for Patton.
I would make a trade for Josh Walker and Shane Kersten too.
Almost agree in relation to Carlisle for Patton. Would GWS agree to that though given that Patton was a no 1 pick and would you be concerned that he has had knee major knee problems? Also, just because Carlisle isn’t a forward doesnt mean he isnt a gun down back. Prefer less inveztment in trying to prise Tomlinson away personally. Although that would still involve giving up our round one selection and a player I think.
Two others I like are Hoskin Elliot and Orourke who are fringe mids. Theyd ask for a lot in return though.
One from left field is a trade involving Tayte Pears and Crozier from Freo. Both would fit needs at each club and were highish draft picks.

If we are to play a role in trade week we need to offer quality. That means players like Hurley, Dempsey etc. need to be on the table. Not fringe players. Particularly when we have no top draft picks.
