Haha, yeah I actually had heard about that and forgot. But the important factor there (disregarding the fact that he signed which I didn't know, but wouldn't be insurmountable if we were willing to trade a KPD) is that he was drafted as a forward and potentially has good forward knowledge/intuition. It's much easier for a forward to go back than vice versa so I was attempting to say that even if he was skinny and raw the fact that he was a natural forward and not a defender would still be of great value to us.
But it was pointless speculation anyway as McCarthy is skinnier than Daniher and we need someone with a few preseasons at least who can come in and take some heat off Daniher, and McCarthy is the opposite of that.

Weren't we into him in a big way 4 or so years ago but he wanted to go to the Hawks but the Swans refused to trade him to them.
Anyway, I think the time for this move is well and truly passed. He will see out the year as a depth player and the Swans and then retire.

That last sentence is a huge call, think that may be a slight exaggeration!
We don't need another skinny tall CHF. We need a gorilla fwd in the mould of Cloke and Tippett.
Someone like Patton and Tomlinson.
You do realise it takes years to get the size and power those guys have. Our boys are just that, boys. Give them time and they will be just like your Tippetts and Clokes.
