If we are to trade her i want a gun player in return stuff picks.
I think it all needs to be balanced against where the kids coming through the draft are at vs where competition is at.
I think the AFLW is in a stage where you can hit the draft and get immediate improvement. Gaylor, Scholz etc - they arenāt just gun first year players, they are gun players who stand out already.
So trading players who are good but not great, or have potential but may not realise it, to get high picks isnāt necessarily a bad approach. Short term or long term.

No doubt weād miss her speed in our front half but we need better athletic profiles across our list and Iām hoping that if we do trade out some of our commodities we draft in players who have good outside run and kicking skills. Clarke has great speed but just never gets enough of it for mine.

Just read on AFL .com that Richmond want a first round pick to replace Yassir! Thatās ridiculous Iād say. Sheās not that good!

Unless the draft is stacked with qaulity i wouldnt be trading any of our good players.
What ever picks we get for Clarke trade them for a qaulity player

Not worth Scott + a first, but sheās good.
Moreover she knows how to be a small forward around a dominant marking target (Katie Brennan at Richmond). Sheās plug and play to work with Toogood.

Tigers and Saints can gagf more then happy to keep our first along with scott and amber hope it all falls over and no trades happen

Yassir only became a good small forward after a year at Richmond (including kicking, IIRC, three goals on us).
As a junior she spent more time as an inside midfielder. Insane pressure, but tiny and prone to putting her head into too much trouble. That didnāt scale, in either our VFLW team or at AFLW Richmond. That she has developed serious forward nounce since and overcome the size problem is a big plus in her books.
Radio 3DJR was in love with her insanity from game one. Almost got more coverage than Prespakis and to-be-#1-draft-pick Montana Ham in the below:

Clarke, Scott and Yassir will all get to their destinations.
AFL will step in behind the scenes, bring in a few other clubs (like Dees and Hawks who are blue-ing about Harris) and get a deal done.
Then they have their usual āmega deal at the deadlineā manufactured story.
Clarke is contracted for another 2 years if iām not mistaken she was pick 4 Saints will need to cough up 2 firsts
