Complete anarchy and destruction?
Nahh, pool party. Love it.
Yeah the anarchy part is already happening.
Wouldn’t be the first time a revolution has been signaled with cannonballs
Ohh, no, I just meant to the property.
If he turns up here, we’ll turn him back.
And yet, the cricket is still being played.
Its now been set on fire as an FYI.
I shouldn’t have made such a flippant post. Sri Lankans are in for some very hard times

Priorities Hoffy, Priorities.
And the Tea break shall also not be moved.
A Brooklyn preacher has been robbed of jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of dollars by armed men who crashed his church service just as he was delivering a sermon about keeping faith in the face of grave adversity, according to police.
Speaking again on Instagram, Bishop Whitehead defended his extravagant lifestyle, saying he was “going to live his life the way God has it set up for him”.
“It’s not about me being flashy,” he said.
“It’s about me purchasing what I want to purchase. And it’s my prerogative to purchase what I want to purchase.”
Just doing the lords work. Why are so many of these US preachers obscenely wealthy and why do their followers not see anything wrong with that.
This is straying a little from the thread title, but in response to your question:
I used to supply goods and maintenance for a fish tank at a beautiful house on a lovely acreage owned by a middle aged Indian swami in Melbourne. His house was full of mainly students who supported his very pleasant lifestyle with their labour and income. My impression was that all his followers were more intelligent than him, but they didn’t question their circumstances, and seemed happy with their lifestyle, and with him in charge.
It seems to me that most leaders (religious or not), seem to have more perks. Religious leaders probably have more blind loyalty.
Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Australia ( based in Sydney) is suing a Greek Australian journalist for defamation in running a story about diverting funds raised for other purposes to support his extravagant life style, but not contesting the articles highlighting his extravagant residence and costs of maintaining his lifestyle.
Because people see and do stupid things at times. History is littered with people pouring money at others they should be ignoring. Get rich quick schemes work on that principle.
Ever been to one of those seminars or read the books from one of those self-help people on how to get rich in 10 easy steps? People actually fall for that crap, hand over hard earned cash to be taught nothing and processes that don’t work. The only ones who get rich are those running the seminars and writing the books.
it’s how your Melissa Craddick types create ponzi schemes. Give me your money and i will make you rich.
This story has fascinated me for a few weeks now…
“Japanese police are turning to tranquiliser guns in an attempt to stem the tide of wild monkey attacks that have been terrorising residents.
In recent weeks, 42 people have been reported injured in Yamaguchi city - including children and the elderly.
…
Injuries have varied, with local media reporting victims have received anything from scratches, bitten legs and hands, to bitten necks and stomachs.
Stories include a four-year-old girl scratched during an apartment break-in, while in another instance a monkey breached a kindergarten classroom.
Some residents have reported multiple incursions in their homes as the primates gain access by sliding screen doors or entering through open windows.”
My brothers and sisters rising up in response to being unfairly maligned due to monkeypox.
