Hangover cures

When I was younger, I reckon a swim in the ocean is as good as you’ll get.

If that failed, Asian aspirin, with the caffeine (can get it here now), or any guarana type stuff.

These days nothing other than sleep works.

Thanks for the reminder!

Where can you get aspirin with caffeine in Oz.?

Got onto paracetamol with caffeine when I was in Europe, fantastic stuff.

Sorry it might have been paracetamol with caffeine that’s now sold here. The Chinese stuff was a decade ago, either way. Caffeine will heal a hangover

In China the actualy didn’t want to sell me the western medicine for hangover. Instead wanted to mix up some herbal stuff.

Thanks, can you buy paracetamol with caffeine here in Oz?

Have searched for it, but have been told a few times that we don’t have it here.

I have some in the fridge. Lemon, I think.

Oh, and we always thought banana paddlepops were good to ease a hangover.

Pretty sure I’ve seen it on the shelf at Woolies

Thanks, will have a look in Woolies

We can probably merge this with the JoeDan thread now

The tropical one is 100% like passiona/pasito

Yeah it’s around most good pharmacies, and some bad ones.

So turns out hangovers actually have a name.
Veisalgia: Medical term for a hangover.

From the Norwegian kveis (uneasiness following debauchery) + the Greek algia (pain).

Lol

“Yeah boss? Can’t make it in. I’ve been diagnosed with veisalgia, its reasonably serious and I’ll be battling it probably for the rest of my life. Any way, catch you tomorrow hopefully”

Sometimes you get just the Veis, uneasiness after debauchery. Sometimes you get just the Algia pain.

A gatorade before bed, then one on awakening.

Failing that, the strongest glass of cordial you can handle. I used to go half cordial/half water. One before bed, one when I got up.

Both of these methods worked a treat for me in my younger days.

Maybe someone should ask JOEDAN what his cure is?

Seems to have plenty of experience in these matters.

His recovery time doesn’t seem all that great to me…

Is that right? That is super super dangerous (as in, I would smash litres of it)
