Cheers.

The Concept 2 is very well regarded online, it seems.
At that 1-2k pricepoint, you can get a really nice machine.

I decided to splurge a little over my budget, as i wanted something that i would want to use everyday, and have the ability to choose between a number of Apps via the Bluetooth module connected to the monitor.

After being able to trial a WaterRower (actual brand name) unit in a Showroom, i was sold.

Dual rails, solid as, whisper quiet (except for the sound of water whooshing during the working phase), and actually a beautiful looking piece of furniture.

I’ll post some pics later.

Heffsgirl speaks for me. I tried to reply about 5 times and didn’t know what to say. Timely reminder for everyone coming into summer after not seeing sun for years!!

A confronting, yet pertinent post rob. Hope your recovery is going well and you kick ā– ā– ā–  for many more years.

Also, just wondering if you had any pics of the red mark on your chest that was also BCC? I am always paranoid for marks on my body which seem out of place.

Hi Alex,

I didn’t take a pic but it looked similar to this
image

It was about 2cm wide & 1.5xm top to bottom. It would ebb and flow from pink to angry red with a small amount of bleeding, although this was infrequent.

You can get them treated without surgery, however as I was going under the knife the surgeon said he would do it at the same time as the melanoma.

From what I have been informed BCC’s do not result in melanoma but can continue to grow in size if not addressed.

As I say to anyone whos asks about what happened to my head I advise them if in doubt, get a referral and get it checked…

Correct (same for SCCs).

6 years minus 2 weeks melanoma-free.

Not sure if it’s the right thread, but what’s the go with GPs and bill billing these days? SIA Essendon saying I’ll be out of pocket $50 for a consult?

usually with SIA Essendon, if you rock up and just get the next available doctor, it’s bulk billed. If you make an appointment it’s about $90, and you get about $40 back from Medicare.

that’s how it used to be anyway!

EDIT - here’s their fee schedule. Bulk billed Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm for next available doc

Yeah that’s exactly how it is at the moment. I thought it was just completely bulk billed and you’re not out of pocket for it even if you book in advance. Been a while since I visited that centre though, so it may have been like that for a while!

yeah I fork out for a booking as i like my doc, and it’s been for at least the last seven or eight years!

Ahh there you go, yeah I haven’t been to that clinic for ages.

A lot of places are (unfortunately) doing away with bulk billing.
Which is kind of stupid given all the issues atm with overcrowding in public hospital ED’s.

Yeah the Medicare rebates didn’t get changed from 2013 to 2019, then they finally raised it by 65 cents.

Surprisingly GP’s costs rose somewhat more than 65 cents, across that period.

My GP friend wants to bulk bill but makes a loss if she does.

Aloe Vera plant. Anyone that spends anytime in the kitchen … indoor or outdoor, should have one. If you apply immediately after the burn it takes away the pain, as you feel the pain returning apply again, and keep on until it stops hurting. Virtually eliminates scarring also.

Medicare has needed (another) overhaul for a while unfortunately.
All well and good for hospital reps to stand in front of a camera and tell people to go to their doctor instead, but when the hospital has no out of pocket cost and the GP does it’s a no brained for a lot of families.

How is everyone tracking health wise. It’s a difficult time of the year sticking to new eating and fitness plans.

So far so good for me. Although my work colleagues gave me the ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  gifting chocolates when i specifically told them not to. I guess its an easy gift option.

I’m not calorie counting while in Australia but not getting carried away with foods. I think my appetite has definitely changed, I’m not craving junk foods etc.

I had tonsillitis right before we left Singapore so my trainer wants me to focus on rest and not going backwards.

Wishing everyone all the best, some great achievements this year from you and sound advice.

I’m hoping a cool change comes through soon as this heat has killed my sleep the past few nights.
Reckon I’m tracking a 3-4 broken hours a night tops.
