In memoriam. Australian Journalism. Judd Wept

Were you a Mary Whitehouse fan?

FFS Whitehouse was a nutter from the century before. It was all Heath at that time, miners unions, Scargill, sugar shortages and candles in the shops on High Street then the Wilson/Callaghan governments. I left before Maggie came in to help get rid of coal mining. Bless her, she at least did something about climate change, even though she had no idea what it was.

I learnt more about English politics from the Goodies, than I realised. Especially when I went and lived there, I actually understood some of their strange references.

I lived there during the poll tax era and the massive demonstrations against it.

I’m just in for this part:

Here’s an interesting fact:

When he was a student at Geelong Grammar, Rupert Murdoch was an avowed Communist. He routinely described himself as “Commo Murdoch” and held a large annual celebration with his mates (acolytes ?) to honour Lenin’s birthday.

Theres a real vote winner. You have to admire politicians who have policies so based on an ideology that they are prepared to have themselves voted out in order to implement the policies.

Don’t shame Emily, shame the publisher.
(Unless they’re one and the same).

I think Em will shake off the haters and be A OK!

I’m sure you’re right, but I don’t think anyone deserves to be known as their parent’s child.

Not unless you’re proud of your parents…

No, maybe not. Perhaps she could put Yes signs up on her numerous properties in protest at the 2 million daddy’s spending to screw the pesky black folks. That’s 2 million less in the hard earned inheritance kicker after all.

MSM pic of driver in a car illustrating illegal driver behaviour in Australia has him in a left hand drive car.
Does that signify that the illegality is only for left hand drive cars?

Man found dead after allegedly failing to rob muffin store

ABC and 4 Corners have just guaranteed that no source or whistleblower can ever trust them ever again, by handing over all their footage about the Burrup Hub protests to the not-at-all-bought-and-paid-for-fossil-fuel-enforcers in the WA police, despite prior assurances of confidentiality etc.

Then there’s that WA cop caught leaking info to the media in the missing Cleo case, undertones of media kickbacks.
Media don’t get hit for inciting corruption. They don’t have to reveal their sources ( the better ones supply burner phones).

I’m still trying to work out the job of a water cooler coach, as per the woman found dead in a schoolyard shed in Sydney.

He was sleeping with the journo he leaked to, I thought the article said.
