Injury Updates

Only definite best 22 are Draper and Ridley and probably Parish and Gresham who are back soon.

Given Wrights form I doubt that Edwards or Bryan would get a game.

Jones is on the edge.

Point is he can’t because he’s injured, no silver lining.

Edit
Already been said so apologies to that poster I just felt the need to get it out, you can be such a Calabrian at @Finding_Nino :joy:

Bryan, Gresham, Draper, Ridley and Jones all started the year in the firsts and have played there until injured. Parish almost certainly would join them.

Scott seems to consider them all best 22.

I sense Nguyen’s going to be de-loading over the next few weeks.

silver lining is it might give the club the impetus to select Matt Foley in the MSD, different player but similar on list - small defender.

you always worry with Foot injuries and TBC, we seem to get one to a young player every year.

Why?
He’s proven on many occasions he has no impact in his first 2-3 appearances after injury. He will only hurt the team.
VFL is the right move for Parish.

We could probably carry Parish and still win against the tigers just give him less game time or sub out…

No i agree that he needs to get touch in the VFL, was just saying the scheduling is a joke as we’ve had that many byes already.

Tsatas started the first few games, and now Setters is playing though. Things change

Honestly, I kind of think the injuries are saving Scott from himself as we are forced to go smaller / quicker.

Of all of our current injuries, Draper is the one that really hurts us particularly given his form this year.

Rids is a great player but I think a McKay / Reid partnership has potential if combined with a more mobile option like Johnson (we will get Lav no doubt).

We are a better team with one ruck + Wright (as opposed to 2 rucks).

Jones out has forced us to play an actual winger.

Parish is a good player but arguably further unbalances the midfield.

Our injuries are terrible as they are long term and generally to younger players, but not sure they’ve made us a worse team today.

Tigers won’t be pushovers. That will be a closer contest than you think.

I think parish is just a myth

last week was their grand final , they are gettqble after such a high . …lol

We are a better side without them to big and slow ,one of the ruckmen would be handy Gresham’s a hack and Ridley is becoming a handicap

Hope you’re right. I just know if it’s a dewy night it will be pretty close. As it was last year…

Bryan getting injured also brought Wright into the team

With injury comes opportunity. Hopefully these injuries are forcing Brad’s hand a bit and it will mean we’ll need to change things it up a bit E.g. personnel, structures. At least we’ll get to find what else we have at our disposal.

2 from my best 22.

Agree with all of this. Hence 2 of our best 22 missing.
