Grandstanding
It’s all the club exists for now.
Will Footy Classified have a special dedicated to the clubs injury crisis.
Nino is the oracle.
Can someone please explain why we even need two ovals? Why wouldnt they just put everything in to the one.
Rehab and main group, AFL AFLW etc
I said the same. I’ve walked on that surface several times and it has a really weird rubbery feel to it. I was expecting it to be like an all weather tennis court of hockey field. You sink into (slightly) when you walk/jump on it.
Let’s get him a better family
I don’t really understand how it’s Brad call if a player facing an injury cloud should play or not.
To hear that they have done it twice with Duursma is concerning
Breaking:
Exclusive image of Kyle Langford storming into Brad Scott’s office to voice his displeasure
Duursma told Brad that he was good to go and once he said that he expected him to play to his capacity
You got the medical/fitness team assuring to Brad a player is right to go then that player doesn’t feel 100% but they still end up playing
It’s a farking shemozzle right now
Donfather Pod (physio and chiro) spends a fair time on this and are fairly certain its related to rehabilitation and not getting to the real cause of the injury in the first place
You don’t. No one does. Two ovals is like having two ovens. It’s a ridiculous luxury that barely used and it doesn’t make you a better cook.
Hawks new training base will have 2 ovals if i’m not mistaken
Yeah well they’re wrong. It’s about the players not doing the adequate loads or prep for years. Now their body isn’t resilient enough to handle the higher intensity.
Hopefully they get just as many injuries as we do.
not sure why it’d be a sticking point for draper, most of his injuries have been impact injuries.
If their bodies are breaking down because of an increase in intensity at training, and it’s generally the older guys who are breaking down, then what does that say ?
the younger kids are training at the same level and intensity, and are now forced to play in the afl environment, and yet so far they aren’t breaking down on mass.
It seems to be the middle of the rung senior players breaking down, with the increase in supposed intensity, which is kind of concerning, because the whole joint still looks no where near the level of fitness as the top teams, nor as well built physically.
Merrett and Martin are our best trainers and also rarely injured. A good argument for blaming previous standards. Caldwell was always injured at GWS, same as Setterfield and Duursma was also injury prone at Port and McKay at North.
Pretending this is a surface issue just sounds like more bonkers twitter convenience. Simple answers because we don’t like thinking about things too much. All respect to Eloise, but correlation isn’t causation. I hope the club have a look at it, but ■■■■ off with the “it’s the floor” excuses.
Gut the high performance department, and guy our “veteran” players too.
Have you listened to it?
Yep, exactly. I mean, look at ■■■■■■■ old gold…the bloke is 100 years old and holds up better than the rest. It’s because he’s a professional with high standards like Merrett and Martin.
Langford, Parish, Redman etc can go and get farked
