Loved the big hug handshake from Connors, and seemed to whisper a few things.
Heās done a great job landing Shiel, but I think when you reflect on the last 4-5 and especially the last 2 years, he has done a great job with the hand he was dealt.
Now up to the coaches, players and development team to do their part.

It seems like Shiel could have just stayed. GWS did enough to keep him in the cap - weāre lucky that Shiel pushed to come to us. And that we held our nerve.
Very nerve wracking for the rest of us.
Lol at people saying it was stage managed. It nearly didnāt happen because GWS could have walked away. He only offered two first-rounders like 25 minutes to go.
He was so upset he blinked first, he was so far away from McCartney in the deal room.
He must have told Connors that he will offer those late so Connors stayed out of it and Shiel didnāt waiver. Hence his comment he had until 8.30 on Wednesday to do the deal and he hopes it gets done.
