Jed Lamb

We are in the mix apparently.

ESSENDON has joined the race for GWS goalkicking midfielder Jed Lamb, who is set to choose between the Bombers and Carlton in coming days.

Lamb crossed from Sydney on a lucrative contract but was barely sighted at senior level, instead totally dominating the NEAFL competition.

He kicked 43 goals in 17 games as a small midfielder in the NEAFL, 10 more than anyone else at the club.

The Blues set their sights on him months ago given list manager Steve Silvagni’s knowledge of that list.

But Essendon has emerged as another suitor given they, too, are lacking goalkicking small forwards with the retirement of Jason Winderlich #10 Darren Bewick in 2000.

He will likely decide on a preferred club in coming days but his sizeable contract means GWS might need to continue paying some of the last year of his deal.

Sad, but true!

Good question. Although the GWS midfield is their strength so hard to squeeze into.

Like. But why was he in the GWS seconds?

WANT.

Now that Hird is gone, Melky is out the door, and Stanton ‘has offers’, we are desperate for a replacement in the expiatory ovis aries department.

Unless Lamb is the steak knives in some other deal where we practically pay nothing for him do not want.

I saw a lot of him as a junior, but I don’t know how he’s developed since then. Concur with the general skepticism re the quality of the neafl though, it’s better than it was, but it’s still not great and it’s easy for afl reserves players to get very big stats against some of the nsw standalone sides in particular.

Lamb as a junior was a specialist lead-mark medium forward, very good, and his team’s leading goalkicker (think Monfries) but this is not a breed that tends to translate well to afl level - though as I said, I haven’t seen him play for years so maybe he’s a real mid now, NOB made that exact transition after all.

Package Lamb and Tomlinson for Melks's pick (24 from Melb) and it's a done deal.

I would probably ■■■■ if this happens.

■■■■ it, Daz Ewing kicked 87 from 20 games and is only 183’ why get the failed pleb?

If he ever does get an AFL game, I just know how the call of his first missed or poor kick will go.

One of those wankers Dwayne, BeeTea etc, will be tongueing for the chance to say … “And Lamb SHANKS IT!” … you can already hear it, … can’t you?

2015 Lamb kicked 43 goals in 16 games and averaged six marks a game in NEAFL. Made Team of the year list in NEAFL this year.
The NEAFL, let me tell you about the NEAFL

The NT Thunder won the flag again, with dudes that live 2000kms apart from each other, with dudes that won’t get drafted.

would take him just to ■■■■ Carlton off.

I've heard Lamb isnt much chop

He’s mint, sauces must be good on this rumour.

We’d get more fluff articles if we got him.

Apparently Fred West had a way with the woolly ladies.

WEST … West Coast … Worsfold

Sheep … Lambs … Lamb

The logic is impeccable. Lamb to Essendon 2016. Get it done, Dodoro.

You guys are just a bunch of dags with all these puns

there's a guy at my work called Ba Lam. true story.

One of my brothers went to uni with a guy called ■■■ My (or Mi) Lam. True story.

At his draft time I liked what I read about him and wished we took him with the pick that I think we took Steinberg with. Probably better off the way we went. But it is a pretty close run thing.

Would like a forward line with Hams and Lamb in it, perhaps now that we have got Worsfold as coach, we could get Brad Sheppard (Shepherd) from West Coast? You know to tend the flock and protect them…

Post of the century

We’ll get fleeced dealing with GWS.

Is he sheepish

So can he play for those that know?
