Or the same size.
Final against the Crows was the worst.
- NLM used as a ruckman
- Quinn who fails to soccer a goal right on the goal line
It was either NLM or a 19yr old Bellchambers. We were going in against a team who was clearly superior to us, and in better form. Trying something out of left field was a valid approach. I doubt Carlisle would have done much better, but it gave supporters an excuse to get into Knights.
And Quinn had earned his spot. Heâd got 18 and 17 disposals in two of the three games leading into the finals, and won our VFL B&F.
People had unrealistic expectations for that game.
Here we go with the size thing again.
Here we go with the size thing again.
My wife says size does matter. Who am I to argue.
All valid points but thatâs problem with this club to used to saying âoh wellâ and coming up with excuses when they lose.
Are tickets free for members for this one?
Are tickets free for members for this one?
Yes, but there is a small service fee. I wouldnât turn up on the day and expect to get in, to try to avoid said fee.
Ok weird. I used me barcode and itâs come up as $27.95?!
Did you choose member upgrade (only)?
Only option is âGeneral Publicâ then next screen is the number of tickets and area âbest avaliableâ etc?
Ah nevermind. Worked it out. Accidentally selected an extra ticket.
Things is there wasnât any improvement all I saw was the same effort they put against the Swans didnât stop Richmond from playing well and they started pre season way later than us.
Yes we had players missing, yes gastro was a cause but that still dosent excuse for a lack effort from the players that did play.
For farks sake Nino
Itâs blatantly obvious one team chose to use the game as an important part of their preseason - and rolled out basically their best team minus the injured players ⌠and the other chose not to for their own reasons.
It has nothing to do with Richmond starting preseason later than us and us not caring.
Continually crapping on about lack of effort and yet you have zero clue about what physical state the players were at via training (and the gastro on top of that to some)
Richmond may well have had a very solid training block leading up to the previous weekend, and a very light week on track to freshen up seeing better value in a full hit out in the game.
We flogged the players in a block of training leading right up to the game. Then had them playing fatigued on top of half of our best side missing. Itâs no surprise to most we had a reasonable first quarter then couldnât get near them for rest of game.
The players were then given 4 days off, in a planned break post that very heavy training phase.
I know your feelings were hurt by the team not putting in a performance you expected but take stock of the reality of why that occurred FFS
The team was deliberately not prepared with a view to winning that game. The club didnât care at all.
Croweyâs comments after that key players who didnât play did 12km of solid football work which they wouldnât have gotten if played showing they valueing our own training over Mickey Mouse games that mean zilch.
In what world do losers not have excuses(valid points) when reflecting?
Iâm just saying
Fine we shall see against Geelong
Nino just isnât cut out for pre seasonđ
To the tune of âI Just Wasnât Made for These Timesâ
Or trade period
At the end of the day I just want the team to do well weather itâs practice games or the real stuff.
We all do Nino
Well most of us anyway
