Had the same thought, that would be their plan if they sign Drew, even if he should be playing short instead of Jeter, so so much better there defensively.
As for Roberts, he’s a very good player, only issue is he usually spends most of the season on the DL which isn’t helpful.

Yeah, but this was a catch to WIN the World Series and it looked to me like he straight out jibbed it. He catches that, there are no Freese heroics. Third out, ninth inning, Rangers leading, about to win their 4th game, and the guy craps his dacks. As bad as Billy Bucknor.

Don't begin to rise until the ball is in your glove (ie - don't spend it before you got it!). Woeful effort by Bucknor. He simply screwed it up. I play third base in the local winter comp and I feel ■■■■■ when I tunnel-ball one, let alone doing it to blow the World Series at a long-suffering, success-starved club!
