Mlb 2016

One funny call today…Braves down 3-2 bottom 7, 1 out, runners on 2nd and 3rd. Inciarte flies out to deep left field. Conforto throws on the fly to the catcher, who gets the runner.

I was watching the New York commentators, talking about the challenge. They called him safe on both counts - beat the tag and was blocked in the run to the plate. They’re just saying definitely safe. But he was called out on both counts. Staggering from just the vision of the tag that he would be called out. Strangely the Atlanta manager was ejected.

Luckily they scored 2 bottom 8, but this went to review and they made a shocking call. Looks like some of the goal reviewers took advantage of the bye and headed to New York.

Astrios bats on fire 13 runs scored consecutive games against KC

Fair game for Kris Bryant against the Reds. 5 for 5 with 4 runs, 6 batted in, 3 homers, 2 doubles.

Arrietta helped himself with a homer and got the win but not dominating. ERA up to 2.10

Giants lost to the A’s mainly due to one crappy inning. 5 runs scored off Samardzija (I am sure I butchered that spelling).

Oh well, will try to get our 50th win tonight…

That was a hell of a game by Bryant…Lucky he is on my fantasy team

Haven’t been keeping up with MLB the last month or so and was shocked to see Harper’s stats so far.

Has he been injured or what?

Better hope he lifts his bat in the second half of the season.

They were saying the other day he had 9 homers early doors, and only has 6 more. No injuries AFAIK.

Strange.

Only hitting at .254 so far this season which is well below his ability.

He crushed everything last season and now he is struggling majorly (majorly for him, a hit every 4 at bats would be decent for most players).

And of course he added one more today.

Went 2-4 with a homer.

You’re welcome Bryce.

Heck of a game between the A’s and Giants today.

13-11

All was going well till our bullpen imploded. Now we go across the Bay to play them the next 2 nights.

Altuve batting 431 since then end of may has reached base 32 consecutive times. 4 for 5 today scored 4 runs…HR short of the cycle

Now he is some player!

Embarrassed again by the A’s. Wow. Bum on the mound tonight. Hopefully we win. Luckily the Dodgers lost too so we still have a 6-game lead in the West.

Bumgarner is the first pitcher to bat in a DH-situation in 40 years. Does that mean that when he leaves the game, the DH option was not available to the Giants?

Went 1-4 with a barney rubble in the first.

Gave up 4 runs in a 12-7 win though.

Yep, the DH option was not available once he went off. After the frustration of the last 3 games it was incredible to see how his double sparked the offense (we scored 6 in that inning). Great to finally get that 50th win!

Cubs in a massive rut

5-4 win v Angels
21-2 Loss, 11 in one inning…crazy
10-5 win

Won the series

Cuts aren’t going to get the luxury of the All-Star Break to recharge either, since all their batters, the entire pitching staff and Steve Bachman are picked for the ASG. I think even Sammy Sosa and Ryne Sandberg are getting a guernsey.

They’ve even offered to dig up Ernie Banks.

Bryant hit a homer off Sales to open up for the NL, but the KC pair, Hosmer and Perez, hit homers off their teammate of last year, Johnny Cueto, to make it 3-1 middle 3.
