Mlb 2017

Judge just keeps on slugging them and Castro has really hit his straps. Scoring for fun at the moment and it’s good to see. Hope we can keep it up

Bit of a run-fest in Washington as Strasburg and Foltynewicz faced off.

Markakis and Kemp hit first-inning homers, followed by Trea Turner in the bottom half.
Nats got out to 4-3
Matt Adams hits a 3-run HR to make it 6-4
Nats came back to make it 9-6…of course, Harper hitting a first-pitch HR
Adams another solo shot and the Braves trailed 9-8 into the 9th
Markakis and Adams walked and Flowers homered to make it 11-9
Taylor doubled and scored in the bottom half and the Braves held on to make it 11-10

Cubs smacked by the Mets 6-1

MLB Draft is on today, but not as relevant as guys are often 22 at the draft and take another 3 years in the minors

Plenty of exceptions of course like Harper, Trout, Cabrera…Trout has already won 3 MVPs and is only 25.

Astros starting to struggle with.Keuchel Morton Mcullers mc hugh all on the Disabled List…

AN’s mob hand my Giants their 7th straight defeat. I only started following the Giants in 1997. This is the worst season I can remember. Was speaking to an old timer (fan since 1980) at work and he said this is worst since '92.

A very accurate representation this Giants season in a blog today:
“feces-tornado of a season”

Yankees suck ATM, pitching is diabolical

Giants got back today. Braves and Teheran sailed through 7 innings with a 2-0 lead.

Then a single and an overturned call for another singleand then, after the delay, a first-pitch homer to go behind 3-2. Three errors and 5 runs for the inning which ended on a DP.

Lose 6-3r

I preferred yesterday when the Braves hit the bottom of the 8th with a 2-0 and added 7 runs.

That’s a shame

Apparently K-Rod has been let go by the Motor City Kitties. You tend to forget that it was 2002 that he announced himself in the Angels Giants WS.

Red Sox push clear on top of the Al East. 15-1 today…Mookie Betts 8 rbi’s

Braves sweep the A’s in a series of nail-biters.

Won the first 3-1 with Foltynewicz not giving up a hit till the 9th (which was the 1)

Led by 2 late in both the other 2 games and surrendered the lead…twice today. Swanson came through with the late winner yesterday, and Kemp regained the lead only for Johnson to give it up with three walks and a hit, then Suzuki came through with his second homer and Vizcaino held on after his failure yesterday. So Johnson gets both the BS and the W, 6th time this season.

Bartolo Colón looks like career over, and Freddie Freeman due back after the ASG, potentially to play 3B since Matt Adams has been so good as his replacement and can only play 1B.

Still, one game under 500 after half the season. Two games at home against the Stros to come before the break.

Stros rack up 16 against the braves…

Hopefully get the full pitching rotation back after the all start break…

And 10-4 in the next game. Braves got back to 4-4 but the Stros have one hell of an offence.

Cubs lose again…now 2 games under 500. They’ll have to get their skates on, not that they’re far behind in NL Central, but they lost to the Brewers who lead the division. Lester and Lackey look as if they’re a bit Pete Murray and Arrieta isn’t making the most of his free-agency year.

Dodgers trailed 4-1 in the bottom of the 9th to the D-Backs with Rodney on the mound. Puig singles, then 3 successive walks scoring one, a 2-run single to Seager, an IBB to load them up to give the force and at any bases and the chance of a DP and Chris Taylor singled on the first p[itch to deliver the win to @DonMania’s chagrin.

Stros had one bad inning against the Blue Jays and lost 7-4. McCullers returning after a stint on the DL.

And Foltynewicz beat Gio Gonzalez 5-2 in DC. Kurt Suzuki is red hot with another homer…pity he’s the backup catcher, but Flowers is hitting 330’ish. 2 doubles to Freddie on his second game back, this time at first as Adams had the day off.

stroa will get keuchel Morton and mccugh back shortl…good to see the have found a few but the bull pen has been pulling some long stints game to game!

Jim Johnson blows his seventh save of the season, ending with a Braves loss to the Nats 5-4 in the 10th after leading 4-1 into the 9th.

Admittedly he was pitching into the heart of the Washington order but gave up hit after hit.

Snitker got ejected in the 9th after the 3rd base umpire made a disgusting call, calling no swing on Wieters on a 1-1 count. Absolutely blatant - went 45 degrees in front of the plate.

Freddie Freeman 3 RBI with a homer and a 2-run single.

Aaron Judge with a 30th homer, passing Joe Di Maggio’s Yankee rookie record of 29. Not even at the all-star break yet, so I suspect he’ll extend the lead a tad.

Stros gave Toronto a nice kicking with Springer having another huge day and Charlie Morton a win on his return from the DL, and Cubs beat Pittsburgh 6-1 with Kris Bryant hitting 2 homers and a triple in a 4-5 day.

Stros rack up 19 yes 19 against the blue jays…wow!

Went to the Giants’ game vs Miami yesterday. Left once the Marlins scored 4 in the 7th to make it 7-3. Wouldn’t you know it, we came back to tie it and eventually lose in extra innings.

The highlight for me was watching an Ichiro at bat. Man is a legend.

Oh, and by the way, the Giants have tied their worst ever first half since 1902. Joy.

Pretty happy with where the Red Sox sit, wouldn’t mind seeing a new guy in the rotation…Fister might not be the guy for us

Panda time is over in Boston. Red Sox will eat the $50m still owed to Sandoval. Wonder if he will get another chance…
