Had no idea this existed. SICK
Thanks for sharing.
Start was a bit meh, but it really took off after that. Def worth a look.
Theyāve been around a while now, Brisbane band I havenāt seen live but they get plenty of airtime on ZZZ (local community radio). New album sounds good.
All those that donāt exist anymore. Worst genre of music EVER!!! Would rather listen to showtunes while inserting toothpicks into private places. Would be more enjoyable.
In no order
Offspring
Clash
Green Day
Good Charlotte
Blink 182
The Cure
Yeah, canāt think of any more, all terrible.
Lol its a bit crude to ā ā ā ā on someone elseās music taste - show some class
Didnāt say anyone else shouldnāt listen to them, just expressing my personal viewpoint. Sorry to offend.
Not really
Gonna go play me some Helen Reddy. (May not be true!!)
Lol believe in me when I say you donāt offend me but everybody else has taken umbrage at my music taste to the point that they feel personally slighted by the music I have played.
All good, those on here that know my music taste rib me mercilessly too. Loves me a bit of C&W. I will listen too some Punk, but it needs to be more controlled musically than a lot of bands are capable of. Everyone has different tastes, it is what makes music so wonderful. It would be truly horrid if we all only like two or three songs and played them endlessly. Did you ever dip your toes in the DJ Thread?
Thatās pretty cool.
Edit: Alice Cooper talking about disco!
Haha yeah I bought some fun to an otherwise lifeless party , I enjoyed your sets fwiw as your tastes were varied. But Iāve changed my username since venturing in that thread and Iām rebranding.
Iām not sure you know what punk is, because Iām giving you 1/6, maybe 2/6, of the bands you listed.
Iām not saying youād like actual punk music, but I think youāre hating on the wrong genre if you think Good Charlotte and Blink 182 are punk.
Well, theyāre kind of newer age punk. Plus I listened to enough of it in the DJ thread to know I donāt want to remember who the rest of em are.
When I was in Scotland about 15 years ago, I was at the pub talking to a group of girls who were studying fashion design.
We were talking about music, and I said I was into Punk rock music. They looked at me weird, and said thatās unusual because I donāt wear āpunkā clothing. (I was wearing Chuck Taylors, Jeans and a Flanny)
So then I went on a big philosophical rant about how in Australia we donāt subscribe to Punk being a fashion style, and people are free to wear what they like, and nobody gives a sh*tā¦. And itās purely about the music.
I described Radio Birdman, The Saints, The Birthday Party, The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, The Hard Ons, The Meanies, etc
Then they argued that itās not āpunkā if the scene doesnāt look like stereo typical punks.
They just didnāt get it at all.
Intersting discussion here. There are genres and variants within all styles of music.
More like Boy band
