NBA 2018/19 Ben Simmons is ROTY. MEGA THREAD!

I know it’s hard to believe, and I’m the last one to talk, but there are more things in life than sporting events. Crazy concept, hey?

Do we get to the point where the band aren’t any good so we get our money back?
Or your team doesn’t perform you get money back?

Or the movie you bought ticket to sucks?

It’s buyer beware. For my $150 bucks I was satisfied.

what’s you point?

While those are all valid, other places just say “we have El Classico and the World darts championships and etc etc” . It’s all in the framing. It really depends on what you care about.

Exhibition games are stupid. And you are even stupider if you pay $1500 bucks to see one…or not see one.

What’s your point?

You said Melbourne was a ■■■■ hole before it had big sporting events. I’m saying it depends on your definition of a ■■■■ hole.

If you’re sitting in plastic chairs (lol) can’t you just shuffle up in it closer?

I didn’t go but we’re people aware they were going to be sitting in Bunnings chairs?

It’s kind of something I would want to know before shelling out big coin.

Cable tied together unfortunately.

There was little business, growth, tourism, or hospitality. Sydney was the epicentre to Australia.

No one came to Melbourne. It was stagnant.

Ron Evans worked with Joan Kirner to start Events Victoria to try and win the Grand Prix. Jeff Kennett came in and then changed the face of Melbourne.

The approach to events has always been bipartisan since that day and that’s why we have thrived.

It’s not like they advertised that detail.

No of course not but as a paying customer I would expect more than a plastic chair.

Everything about this event screams amateur except the price.

When they said “temporary seating”, I really wasn’t expecting backyard plastic chairs.

Mate, silly comparison. Three examples of something subjective e.g. perceived quality of the event vs something objective, i.e. physically can’t see the event because its obscured by other patrons

Thing is, they wouldn’t have been able to put much more on in height and weight as their is the AFL games on the weekend.

Not condoning their ripoff act, but still a ■■■■ situation.

Silly question…
Did they seriously not allow people into the stadium that had ipad minis?
I went to NBA basketball games four years ago and didn’t have a problem.
I went to the 2015 superbowl and could get a go pro in as long as I had a see through bag on entry.

Great point.

All of those AFL games there this weekend - and next! - would be severely impacted.

(Check the fixture)

Don’t get your knickers in a knot mate. Just going off what I heard on the radio this morning.

Sheesh

But if they can put that many people and a ■■■■■■■ court there surely they can add more topsoil ?
