Ants cries for days if you don’t agree with him.
El-Achkar has kicked 0.5 in first half and one other fell just short. Being dangerous is not his issue. Rewarding himself is
I’m not too concerned about this, he has the yips but kako did last year towards the end of the year and caddy did too at under 18 level.
The mechanics of his kicking are pretty good, so Rath will work wonders with his accuracy imo. Just like he seems to have helped caddy and kako this year (note i only saw the mini of yesterday’s game so don’t torch me if their goal kicking went to ■■■■ in the wet yesterday).
It didn’t. Caddy looks quite assured over a set shot now.
Watching Sweid this afternoon, he stands out as a classy player. Calm with the ball. I’m not comparing the two players directly, but he moves a bit like Dean Rioli- shakes the hips, slippery through traffic, good awareness.
He looks promising.
Huss snaps one through the big sticks
Huss sets up the winning goal
El-Ackhar not his cleanest game, but the boy just doesn’t give up.
So many 2nd/3rd/4th efforts.
Helped set up the match winner
Man he had so many opportunities to win the game for them himself too.
Yeah I wondered if he was getting in his own head as the game wore on and he started to fumble a bit. But he was probably the most dangerous forward on the ground all game setting aside conversion.
Do you think it could be fitness related at all?
I doubt it. He kicked straighter last season and he was carrying more weight back then. He looks pretty lean to me, considering his stocky body type.
He’s been good this year, just the conversion piece that’s been missing.
Glad to hear he’s getting looks to kick goals just needs to tidy up on conversion. I’m not too concerned about that, shows huss is getting into good positions and working hard, the conversions will come
What did he end up with? At least 1.5
How did Burmeister play?
We’re going to end up needing to trade dees 1st for points for these two aren’t we.
Oh well I guess
I think we’ll manage it with our 2 2nds (and maybe even another one brought forward). Certainly glad we grabbed the saints pick.
Height probably sees them drop a bit, even with current performances.
That said, if they develop enough that they’re genuinely top 10/15 prospects and we do need to, it’s still a massive win
Just do what we did last year. Trade out for someones first next year. Sure someone will come knocking for ours or the saints second rounder.
Playing on a heavily rain soaked track which created slippery and scrappy football, Adam Sweid still managed to turn in a strong performance for Vic Metro. His skills got a little scrappy at times like most on the day, but he fought for every ground ball and threw himself into his tackles making it difficult for the Young Guns to exit stoppage with any fluency.
If Sweid keeps this up there’s no way he doesn’t go first round imo. I know he’s not tall but he’s a fucken meatball with great attack on the ball. Knows how to win the ground ball, tackles well and has a pretty good kick.
