Genuine question.
Are you male or female?
A lot of women I know don’t enjoy The Godfather or Goodfellas.
They don’t get the humour or enjoy any of the violence in it.

You fell asleep… During John Wick?
And what are the other 100 films where the assassin protagonist avenges the loss of his puppy?

Azza is a big manly man.
This is really far more pedantic than I ever wanted to get, but I think 2001 is perhaps more of a voyage of discovery film rather than an adventure film.
But regardless of how you define it, it’s a very different film to Star Wars.
And if you would argue it’s not, then tell me the most fun part of 2001.
Azza is a big manly man
I don’t want any trouble then. Forget I mentioned it Azza.
Just walk away… Don’t make eye contact.
Azza has man handled Wayne Carey with ease.
Srsly??
Retired assassin gets back in the game for revenge films are a dime a dozen.

Agreed. Good summary
Ok, the end trip is a little…ah…fruity
But the dawn of man scene sets up the whole premise of the film.
This thread is just listing out all my favourite films. Godfather, scar face, Star Wars, no country for old men, fight club, apocalypse now, deapool. These are top 10 films. Sure I guess that could make them overated if you didn’t personally like them.
What is wrong with all of you.

Yeah, but for a puppy?
Yeah, I reckon maybe 8 of my all-time top 10 fav films have been mentioned here.
Thankfully Kevin Smith films were never particularly rated.
Joker
Yup. It’s ■■■■.
fight club
I love Fight Club. I made my dad watch it with me once. When it was over he looked at me like I had just made him watch a snuff film…

You forgot Deadpool.
John Wick? Pfft.
This thread is causing me more angst than the Langford thread prior to this year.
Its one thing not to like the godfather but its another to call it overrated.
My pick would be mission impossible - fallout.
We were looking for a mindless action flick during lockdown and this movie is very highly rated for that kind of thing. Dumb action films aren’t exactly my genre but I don’t mind watching a wick, bond, Bourne film every now and again. Just some mindless escapist fun.
So I thought I’d give this mission impossible a crack and hadn’t seen any of them since MI2 I think.
It was the biggest steaming turd of a film I’d ever seen. The dialogue is written for people with English as a second language. Every line was a wtf did they just say moment. Not action movie bad, just truely awful. I’ve seen more realistic dialogue in one of those cheesy p.orn parody films.
Hopefully Simon Pegg made bank from it as that would be its only redeeming feature.
I’m glad that nobody has mentioned Heat yet. It seems people still have some sense left in this thread.
I will watch that every time it’s on.
