For my intensive French classes, we had to do animations. I could get whodunnit and how it was done dead quick from some (proudest of the Porte banane) . But a total flop for anything Tati style, I couldn’t ever relate to that style of French comedy, while loving others.
Not sure if it’s traditionally a sitcom but Mr Inbetween is criminally underrated.
Some genuinely side splitting laugh moments and action in my book goes down as when on the best Australian shows out there
Yep. And it was the friction and aggravation between many of them that drove it on.
I’ve been meaning to watch that.
It’s excellent.
Binge watched it across a weekend.
Underrated: Essendon Football Club as a comedy act!
Rake? Probably another show that went too long.
As a kid, I loved 'Allo 'Allo . And if memory serves me correctly, some of the writing was actually quite gid…but I fear that it may not stand up to a rewatch
Utopia (the Australian one), although it could easily
be classified as a documentary instead of a comedy.
You stupid woman!
That’s why it’s not shown anymore.
Listen very carefully, I will say this only once.
Underrated: Get Smart
The cracked vase with the big daisies?
No! The Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies.
A horror in the ‘Saw’ model more like it. Dismembered limb from limb. Eviscerated into a bloody pathetic pulp.
That got really good just as I was about to give up on it.
Legend says these glasses were modelled on Marie Antoinette’s bosom.
They should have modelled them on Helga’s. We’d have got a bigger drink!
. I wonder if that’d get passed these days.
I understand that, but as I said originally, I wasn’t talking about changing social norms or political correctness with Friends, I was disputing that it was only watchable at the time.
LMW is 22 and she’s a massive fan.
I have 13 year-old nieces who Love the show.
It has longevity.
It has big, and more impressively New fans, thirty years later.
…was my point.
Edit: also, I think most new viewers understand that Friends was created in a different time, and doesn’t overly lean on jokes at the expense of minorities, and accept that it has a trans character at all is progressive for it’s time, even if there a few moments that make them go….oooooh, don’t like that.
Cosby Show not getting a lot of love, considering how much love Bill gave others!
I still found the Accountant-Sea short film absolutrly brilliant on The Meaning of Life.
Married With Childern
3rd Rock From The Sun
Home Improvement
