I think Menzie gets round one and maybe two. He’s got far more credits in the bank from last year than Guelfi or Davey.
But will need to improve to hold his spot after that.

We’ve been at that “formative stage” for the last 23 years!
He’s a very ordinary player who lacks pace
Honestly I don’t care if people like him because he’s half good looking.
Geulfi is a bog average footballer and we would be far better served if one of the Daveys took he’s spot
Wondering if the fact that we have some depth (not a lot, it still requires work), some of the players that we were used to being best 22/23 are just looking a bit ordinary now.
Menzie, Laverde - Guelfi (though he wasn’t really in form last year either).
At some point we have to say “enough is enough”
Fans are sick of it they need to deliver results now
True. Thsts what happens when you’re a broken club. It wheel spins, a revolving door of coaches amid instability. New coaches mean new starts and new program.
Solution is stability, stick to a program completely and see it through for 3 years. Then assess. It’s the only way out of the cycle of failure.
In Barham, Vozzo, Scott I’m more confident there’s substance and solidarity around their commitment to deliver cultural change.
Can they stay the. Purse despite the bumps and distractions that will come. I bloody hope so!!!
No doubt I wonderlust. If you understand the dynamics of teams, all that type of thing can happen.
Only cold hard reality ends up leading to change for some
I reckon Scott isnall over this type of thing. Itll be interesting to see it unfold
How many times can you say enough is enough?
that’s part of it sure.
the biggest part is getting the list right though.
we have half of a very good list.
With essendon plenty haha
We’ve improved ….so have other teams ……we were much better tonight but still made the same dumb mistakes ….eg like turning the ball over via poor disposal out of the backline
Emotion and irrational thoughts won’t change anything. Only time together playing and training will equip the side with the connection, fitness, strength and believe to progress to the next levels results wise. There’s no magic solution Nino, patience is your only reality with this mob as they embark on this new journey together. Just pray the club stick fat and don’t get swayed off course by the noise from the fans / media. Otherwise, in 12 months we will start yet another plan.
nah be the freo guy in his ‘welcome to the kkkollingwood party’
More to like than dislike there.
I liked the application to the contest.
KPD looks like it will be a strength this year.
The Todd looks like our best ruckman wearing #17 since Judd Lalich
Forwards need work. Wasn’t happy at all with the smalls in particular. Thank god for The Langford
■■■■ I wish Rids didn’t get injured.
I’ve been patient for 20 bloody years hoping this time we break the cycle
in the last 2 quarters it seemed we over committed constantly to the player with the ball and they just had all these spares ahead of the ball and easily got away. I guess the intent to apply pressure was there but too often we over did it and they got the easy handball ahead to free players streaming away from us.
The list is one of the key areas. But no more important that culture, stability, development prowess, standards etc. you can have great and talented lists but if the clubs not functioning, it won’t count like you might think. You need all aspects of the club addressed. Bit, by bit I sense the big and difficult work to fix a broken club is now the #1 priority, as it always should’ve been… But wasn’t.
was langford injured?
So you rule Menzie out and suggest Davey?
Please, tell me what Davey has done better than Menzie at this stage. Yes, he’s faster. Anything else?
Because on exposed form he doesn’t kick more goals, doesn’t lay more tackles
