What is 2MP issue I can’t see how he is being managed on legs when I thought he had issues last year with upper body?

Thoughts on Caldwell as forward? I don’t think he has enough tricks or craft. He is tough but not overly fast or skilled for the position. Him and Guelfi in the same forward line is a concern.

The small chip kicks out of defense are going to end in tears in one game.

He’s a better option that Guelfi purely for the pressure.
Remember Hobbs needs to come in so I assume Guelfi goes out.

Thought all new recruits played very well.
Gresham was the stand out. Kicked 2 and was directly involved in 4 or 5 .

Biggest issue appears weak tackling. Too often tackles were broken but the ball kept moving forward for Geelong
And Guelfi. Talk about playing like a busted arse millionaire. That first set shot would have been embarrassing in the U13s. That’s gotta put him in jeopardy rd1. Simply inexplicable.

I thought that was a good hit out. Certainly a huge improvement on last week. Players look like they actually cared. And some skills were evident.
There were some good passages of play, and to be perfectly honest, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t expect to win, but I did expect to get absolutely blown away by the largest stronger bodies at Geelong.
The fact that we didn’t was pleasing.

It’s an upgrade to bombing long to the same side of the 50 arc.
Thought it was ok. I don’t get the gloomers on the basis of a practice match. Yes Cats looked better when they put the foot down, but there were good signs from a fair few players. Cohesion dosen’t happen overnight. My judgements will wait until the real stuff happens. Shame about Rids
