We’ve beat the dregs of a poor years by small margins the fixture from here looks pretty ominous. Brad was super invested yesterday, at 3QT all the rest of the coaches ran off to go to the box and Swans were taking position but Brad was still talking to the full group (really fired em up

Solid performance from the backs overall, but it’s so frustrating how often we concede after a long ball to a wing contest ends up out the back. Our talls don’t kill the ball — either going for a mark and getting disrupted by the oppo forward, or missing the spoil altogether. Meanwhile, their smalls are always goal side and waltz into space.

Further to this was the kickouts from fullback. Every one , short chip into the pocket, long bomb into congestion on half back/wing.
At least a couple of times Saad was 20m in the clear on the 50 on the opposite side, co pletely ignored.
Redman on kickouts doesnt even look to the other side.
However, loved that we secured a win against Swans, hate playing against them.

Papley would’ve won it for them after Hayes went down. But he wasn’t out there, and our ruckman was 96 years old. I’m coming around to this one as a good story. It’s a bit different to our usual scrape wins.

There are things that DE doesn’t measure, and he sucked at them.
Great first half, mediocre second.
The game of two halves factor was always in play.
We’re “playing the kids”, they had 3 players under 24.
Yes, they have an injury list, as do we, but even if they were playing more B graders, they were B graders with 5-6 years of AFL level fitness base, minimum.
We were always going to burn bright then fade quickly.

Our team is not rebuilt.
I’m ■■■■■■ because we have the percentage of a bottom 4 team but we’re going to finish 11th again. And frankly the mismanagement of Tsatas alone undermines the absolutely sensational, stirring win that was barely hanging on to a 40 Pt lead to a Sydney side with huge injuries spearheaded by Aaron Francis and Joel Hamling.
Do you guys not get this is the same ■■■■ every year?

Always respect your view but Sydney had more than enough shots to win the game. That’s basically a fact. We are just fortunate that they missed so many of them.

Sure, they had more shots… and wasted most of them. We had lrss, and did much more with our shots. Their lack of discipline was arguably even more costly, with those lovely early Chrissy present 50 m penalties for gifted goals.
Dean Cox had no answers for that and looked like he had no clue to combat their inept play.
