yep - a much better win as we were genuinely challenged
what’s “good” is that we are still far from our best (not expecting us to be) and that gives enormous scope to build the system and players up over the year

Great win. Even at times when we were challenged we found a way.
The things I noticed of some of the unsung heroes
Davey and Jones would always create a contest. Davey does a lot of off ball stuff we don’t see
Our backline is much more structured and assured. I haven’t seen that for a long time. Not only that there is more than plan A to get the ball forward.
Langford should play forward and stay there.
Was disappointed in Archie at the game live he seemed to go missing.
Mass is the best kick we have in the team. Isn’t afraid to chew off the hard bits and still hit a target.
The midfield seems to work best with setterfield on and Phillips rucking.
Just a great effort overall

When your VFL team wins by 80 points against another AFL team’s VFL side… we, despite a few injuries, do have options which makes a nice change.
