Id advise strongly watching a replay.
Or talking to those that can see it isn’t.

Essendon disposal efficiency to Essendon players - 49%
Essendon disposal efficiency to Geelong players - 100%
So if we take out the first 6 goals in the real stuff then we win lol, lets get a grip.
Dangerfield played 64% game time, they effectively eased him after the first quarter after he’d destroyed us. Bowes was injured very early and Rohan was carrying an injury. They took the foot off the pedal and gifted us some respectability. I’m still seeing the same glaring skills issues and panic merchants but at least we tried until the end I guess.
fought it out, so credit for that.
we are just so undersized in the midfield. it’s hard to compete
To me the depressing bit about this game is that the tiny midgets problem is unfixable in the near term.
Actually thought Sammy was pretty good. Needs some more time with the ruck coaches looking at midfield play and how they set up. There should always be one player free if you are winning the tap.
Anyone who expected a big response to ANZAC Day needs a reality check. If we were physically cooked on Tuesday at 5:30, there’s no good reason to think we wouldn’t be physically worse off than our opposition after a 5v8 day break.
the take away the first qtr and we win is cringe mentality
really obvious how short and how much less strength we had today …
Probably Philips I’m more disappointed with
He offered up nothing for the second straight game and got run ragged by their mobile rucks
sums it up - we let ourselves down way too often with our execution. And this was compounded by our decision making.
But we looked a lot more organised than last year, despite the skills errors. And for a team that is developing into a consistent side that’s important.
Geelong jumped us at the start and it was catch up from there. Not good. I was expecting a lot worse given the short break and playing Geelong who are building their form nicely. Suggests we may weather this tough run of matches well.
Tough to really judge that performance. We were clearly out run and out numbered at the ball the entire first half. Their mids snashed ours. Most of the game they had a spare man back and still beat us at the stoppages. We were winning the ruck taps easily but losing the centre breaks. But we fougt it out well, and even came back in the third. I think Geelong turned off at the end enabling us a more flattering scoreline, but it’s clear our list still has a number of areas it needs to improve
In the third quarter after the Stringer goal the crowd went crazy, hyping the boys up then we handball it to them again and all hope deflated.
Need to do something about these slow starts! At least we seem to change things up after the first quarter though.
As long as the Cats beat Kkkollingwood I’m not fussed. Too good.
Until we become a 4 QTR team we won’t seriously challenge for finals.
If i was coach i would tell the players to rock up at 5:00am to the hangar
You cant give a team a 5 goal head start
The emergence of Weideman
The emergence of Weideman
The emergence of Weideman
The emergence of Weideman
The eventual return of Wright
Ok….I take it back. Normal service has been resumed. (Sigh)
Were you able to see it from the train?
Hobbs must stay in this team.
We are still a 3 quarter team. St Kilda, Collingwood and Geelong. Performed well for 3 quarters. When we put a full game together, the results will come.
