Heās missed a heap of match sim and will have played one vfl practice match. That is an ordinary preparation.
Itās just a reflection of where we are at if he plays rd 1
When a player does a calf mid season, they miss 4 weeks, comes back and plays well in the VFL, is he not right to come straight in?
Guelfi is a senior player now, 3rd in the BnF, we are not talking about bringing a new player like a Tsatas straight in.
We are talking about a best 22 player

Was looking forward to round 1 before the Saints game. Now I just want the band-aid ripped off so I can lose that last remaining piece of hope I have left.

This is start of season. Guelf has next to no match fitness.
Could play full game vfl this week to give him a better shot

I did say to play VFL, which is the plan. Practice match or real game makes no difference, he clocks up the kās required and plays well he will be up for selection. If he doesnāt then he plays another week in the VFL.

Snelling missed 12 weeks and never played well in the VFL to earn a place back in

Plays his role, pressures, tackles, hits the scoreboard.
Considering heās missed a heap of match sim - thereās been 3 small forwards playing in his absence - and we have a restructured forward line Iād be surprised if he even knows how he fits yet
Heās not worse than Tippa, Davey or Menzie. Itās just a reflection of where we are at if he plays Rd1
I reckon there will be 10 teams who will have players come in for rd1 who have had similar lead up to Guelfi.
McGovin and Martin at the blues
Hawkins at the Cats
Weightman at the Dogs
Just to name a few. So does that say the same for them as it does for us?

If you donāt have any great expectations of us winning, then you wonāt be disappointed. Remembering this our development year and maybe next year too. Who knows what could happen?
Not necessarily round 1 specific, but I am loving weāre (likely) going to have 2 big bodies up either end in VFL round 1 (Voss and Baldwin) hungry as hell with some pre season form on the board just itching to take a spot in the seniors.
Weidemann, Jones, BZT, Lav etc better be 100% committed come round 1!

Hawks will tank this season but they will want to beat us, we should still win by 2-3 goals
I want to win the flag.
This has a 4-5 goal loss written all over it IMO.
I donāt think a lot of people realise just how bad we will be this year. I canāt see anything more than 3 or 4 wins unless everyone plays out of their skins this year.

We will comfortably beat Hawks, Gold Coast in round 2 will be the test
I reckon weāre likely bottom 6 and a pretty average outfit, but this is too Lid On for mine.
It would take a number of long term injuries for us to only win 3 or 4.
6-10 wins is a decent, balanced range.
