Round 15 v Brisbane build-up - We must destroy them

Brisbane are ****. Its time to go for their jugular, take no prisoners,
and tear then a new one , can anyone put more cliches in 2 lines?

Can the words ‘percentage’, ‘boost’, ‘destroy’ and all similar please be treated as swear words and censored?

The Lions will know they need to try to control the corridor to slow down our run, and force as many stoppages and contests as possible. They’ll also play a loose man in defence to try and clog up the space for Hooker and Joe.

Thing is, unless they execute all of that really well, we’ve got the talent to really hurt them. Can see them staying with us for a while, but if their structures break down I think we’ll really capitalise.

Their defence is prone to a bit of disorganisation at times, and they’re not well matched against our forward line in any case. I reckon Raz and Stewart might be the two main beneficiaries of some space opening up as a result.

Reckon they’ll get 3 each, and we’ll kick 120+.

I’ll be very surprised if Green doesn’t have an absolute blinder.

6 goals.

Won’t be at all surprised if that is not enough for us to win. It’s not that we aren’t good enough to win, but we just couldn’t overcome the Blitz Positivity Curse.

Zorko is actually one of the top 10 midfielders in the competition. Think Selwood, Treloar, Martin he is in that company and ahead of Rockliff, who is more the ball magnet/ clearance specialist.

We will have to play really well as these 2 alone will probably gain more than 40% of Brisbanes clearances and if we dont watch out they could rack up a clearance differential of 10 against us.

Its just as well we are one of the leagues best scoring teams from turn overs, because its that that enables us to beat other teams.

I hope the boys come to play, stick to their structures and give 100%
We shouldn’t look too far ahead just take it week by week and be happy to get the 4 points

Very true. We only do ■■■■ losses these days…

I’m not going in expecting a massive percentage boost but at the same time i will be disappointed with a close scrappy contest.

They haven’t been too bad recently but we are a better team, end of story, and we are getting more consistent as the season goes on, so hopefully that trajectory continues.

I would like to see us hit them hard earlier and then work hard the rest of the game, no reason we can’t expect to outscore them by 1-2 goals a quarter. I’d be more than happy with that and a 30 odd point margin.

Anything more and it’s pant’s…errrrrr i mean lid, sorry…i will be extremely joyous!

Careful you don’t put the moss on us.

If they water the Gabba we’re done for.

We need to go for the jugular from start to the siren’s end. Now just do it.

Hi guys. Where is the thread for possible changes to Sunday’s team? I can’t find it
anywhere.

Did this just become a “Where’s the team?” thread?

Awesome! Here’s a monkey on a bicycle!

We’ve won 4 out of our last 11. I’ll take a ■■■■ win.

Would people predicting a small crowd be suprised to learn that in our last 4 games vs Brisbane in Melbourne we have averaged 35,500?

Is there some reason people aren’t coming this week?

I don’t know what Furious George is talking about, but I don’t know where the team is.
